Nope. But I have immediate family members who do and I'm close to many others who do as well. They all have paid sick leave that does not come out of their vacation days. Sounds as if you should have worked for a better employer. Good thing you got out of that job.

Again it’s not mandatory. It’s a free market transaction between ownership and labor. Good for them.

How much do they get of each?

Took a beach trip in mid-June. Twenty-five of us in 3 houses. We had several who did not take PTO but worked remotely. They probably averaged less than an hour of work each day. They are all in the 6 figure income range.

2 to 3 weeks depending on time with the business and 3 or 5 sick days (I can't remember which).
So that's still 20 days but 3 or 5 days is specifically sick. That'd suck if you didn't get sick. Compared to PTO of 21 days for whatever. I prefer the flexible model.

I’m in the private sector and I get 21 paid days off plus four “floating holidays “. If I’m sick….or my child is…it comes out of my PTO. Any other subjects besides grammar and private sector labor relations that you’re struggling with?
I recently switched jobs after years at my old place. I have paid sick time now. Like 3 weeks vacation, 1 week personal time, and 1 week sick time, plus 4 floating holidays like you. Never had that before, it's nice 🤣. I actually have to take a week off towards the end of the month for my wife's surgery, and using the floating holidays and a vacation day then. I'm on 12 hour shifts though, so it's a little different I guess for me. I'm in Georgia like ol trigger britches Luther 👀🤣
