Florida-LSU thread

And I think BB85 is downplaying the fiasco in Columbia.

The Columbia loss is what will define our outcome this year. No excuse for losing that game. We should have taken care of business and won a game everybody expected us to win.

You guys on the other hand won a game nobody expected you to win (including most of you guys posting here) and took care of business. That is what you are supposed to do

Congrats. Have bunches of fun in Atlanta. Better not get destroyed to where you won't be able to field a team for the eventual bowl.

Maybe this was what we deserved. You can't lose games like SC... you just can't.

Today also shows a built in disadvantage that Tennessee has right now in the SEC East. Our annual West opponent is Alabama... Florida's is LSU and Georgia's is Auburn. There is a difference.

If Tennessee was who you thought they were going to be, none of this would be a problem.

Instead, the East became a tallest midget contest again

We were barely able to field a team today.

Who knew our 3rd string freshman center and true freshmen LBs would perform like they did? Not me.

It doesn't matter because of South Carolina.

It almost didn't matter because of Georgia.

Our Arkansas loss and your A&M loss cancelled each other out.

Florida will likely get boatraced by Alabama, but I don't buy the schedule argument. LSU has been as tough an out for us as Alabama has been for you guys.
Alabama has beaten LSU 6 in a row while outscoring them 140-63 in those games. So, no.

We need FSU to beat UF and LSU to beat A&M to make the sugar bowl

We might not need LSU to beat A&M, actually.

FSU over UF is a bit more debatable...it might only need to happen if the Gators jumped us in the rankings this week.

Tyrie Cleveland with the play of the year!

Scarlett was bad ass again he's really becoming the guy i hoped he would

Perine is a damn good second back

Now let's just beat FSU get that monkey off our back and I'm happy no matter what happens in Atlanta

I can't believe we won with all those injuries nobody gave the gators a chance in hell to beat a hot lsu team at home

A lot of young guys stepped up

Based on what we've seen from Tennessee all season, if they had played Mississippi State instead of Alabama, it would be a knockdown dragout affair withe game in doubt in the 4th quarter.

Tennessee hasn't played consistent quality football all year. I can't believe this Missouri game

You guys can keep assuming I ever said LSU was a better team than Alabama. It's like you want to miss the point on purpose.

LSU has had our number recently (like Bama and UT), and few people thought we'd win today, present company included.

To suggest our OOD schedules determined the East this year is a complete joke.

It was a factor, not playing Alabama. Another factor was UT losing to Carolina. It's not one thing, they all conspired to end up this way.

I'd like to see us somehow win one of our next three, FSU, Cship game, or bowl game. The way last year faded sucked.

UT losing to Bama was expected, South Carolina not so much.

Bottom line is that UT had multiple chances to win the East and didn't.

However, if we were able to find ourselves in the Sugar then I will be happy Florida beat LSU.

I'm good with whatever bowl game we get.

I wouldn't blame the Sugar for passing on us...we don't travel like we used to.

Nonsense.

As if Florida was expected to win today, and as if LSU didn't win 5 of the last 6 against us.

UT lost the East in Columbia, and it took a miracle in Athens to make today's game relevant to you guys.

It also took a miracle for you to win at lsu wouldn't you agree?

Sure, I'll indulge you.

Today's win in Baton Rouge was exactly like yours in Athens. Mirror images if you will.

Now...indulge me and explain the difference between our games against South Carolina.

Last years embarrassment didn't help

I'm gonna be pretty bummed if we end up facing another good team like Louisville or Michigan and get our asses kicked

Those games aren't as meaningless as some people like to say it depends on who you beat but they can def help propel a program

**** look at Clemson after they beat Lsu that one year things really started to change

UT will travel in droves to New Orleans for that game and Sugar officials know it.

With what Mizzou is doing to us and what UK did to us on the ground I do not want any part of Bama. They will have 1,000 yards rushing. No joke.

Florida can have Bama for all I care. If you guys can keep it close early then you can make it a respectable game, but if you get behind and they don't have to respect the run game then you guys could easily lose by 40.

That is the best defense Saban has ever fielded at Bama. Not even close.
