Florida may not get game 2 in

I know man and its looking very scary on its path...I figured it would turn north before hand but its not looking like it will....Latest path shows it going right down the middle of the state...That's insanity...Stay safe!

You too my friend.

We planned on driving up to Jacksonville Friday evening, but we're rethinking that plan, given how packed I-95 will be with all the traffic coming from South Florida.

NHC plot, which is an amalgamation of a number of models, shows any possibility from a run at the Yucatan peninsula, all the way up to making the 135 degree turn 100 miles off Florida's east coast, and heading up the eastern seaboard well off shore.

That's what the outer edges of this probability cone represent:

Can't just look at the center line, that's just one bit of the story.

Bottom line is, we don't yet know where it's going. Florida's government is prudent to declare a state of emergency ahead of time so they can legally mobilize resources, just in case, but we still don't know where it's headed.

In about 48 hours (Thursday morning), we should have a pretty good idea: gulf, Florida landfall, or stay in Atlantic?

I may be staying in East TN a bit longer than anticipated. I was going to head back to Sarasota on Sunday, but I don't see that happening.

A football related question. And I'll make a blanket statement to detect flames.
I fully understand the power of this hurricane - I lived in Cocoa Beach several years. I hope and pray that the this storm takes the path of least damage - for some reason heads back out to sea. Also, I understand that the I75 and I95 corridor will be jammed with people fleeing and football will and should rank low on the priority list.

So here is my question. Did any of the suspended gators get a 2 game suspension? Usually powder puff games are the best case scenario for administering punishment to star players. (it just is, admit it). So if game 2 doesn't get played - does the Tennessee game become that game?

The kids suspended over the debit card scam are out indefinitely.

James Robinson will be back from his suspension this week if we play.

We all know they "will have learned their lesson and deserve a second chance" just in time for the Tennessee game

Supposed to head to Orlando Monday. Looking less and less likely.

To everyone in Florida, I pray that this storm will be merciful. Having just lived through Harvey in Beach City, Texas I am very compassionate. We had 61.25" water in five days, but 177 mph winds are no joke. Get out early if you can, stay safe.

UCF has already made arrangements to make sure they get to play their game. Ya know, because planning ahead is important.

I don't know....perhaps you should ask Coach McElwain.

I'll never forget how Urban suspended starting DT Marcus Thomas for 5 games in 2006 the week following the Tennessee game.

He sure played in Knoxville though. Urbs was aware of the results of Thomas' positive drug test prior to the Tennessee game.

That really ticked me off. Especially with how tight that game ended up.

The Gators may be without their best defensive linemen for five games, including a key stretch against Alabama, LSU, Auburn and Georgia. Defensive tackle Marcus Thomas has been suspended five games for failing a second drug test. Thomas, a senior who leads the team with three sacks, spent part of Wednesday in meetings with school officials to appeal the suspension he received earlier this week for marijuana use, the Orlando Sentinel reported on its Web site. Thomas' mother, Sheila Mote, told the newspaper her son tested positive twice for marijuana between the middle of July and the end of August.

You got that right. Everyone should be feeling this way. Instead, some people are posting in this thread trying to denegrate the Gators and their coach. How petty and pathetic.

I hope everyone in Florida stays safe and nobody gets hurt.

Just having a conversation. Not trying to denigrate anyone.

Category 5 now.

177 mph winds.

This storm is no joke.

So I was talking smack earlier in this thread. This is different. All you guys and gals get safe. Where ever this thing lands it's going to tear the hell outta everything in it's path.

Football is a game. This chit is very very real.

And Bucs vs Dolphins is already postponed till week 11.

Lol. UFAD had absolutey no agenda last year. None whatsoever.

Regardless all you peeps in FLA stay safe. This storm looks way worse than what we were facing last fall.

Edit: Miami had already cancelled their game. It won't be made up in 2017. I think UCF moved their game? FSU and UF both moved up 7pm kickoffs to noon as their fix currently.

If you live there, please leave if you have that option. This might turn into some Old Testament type stuff. Don't be there for it.

It's being said that Irma is bigger, faster and stronger that Hurricane Andrew from 1992. Wow. What Andrew did to Homestead, Florida is legendary. It leveled it.
