1. HarvinHey Gator boyz, who will Florida's top 5 receivers be this year? Here's my guess:
1) Percy Harvin (provided he gets past the injury)
2) Riley Cooper
3) Louis Murphy
4) Cornelius Ingram
5) Deonte Thompson
Thoughts?

and along with these players we'll see chris rainey, brandon james, jeff demps, tim tebow UGH they're going to give us fits win or lose.... and harvin will get past the injury lol
You would hope not. I think he won't, but the question is "If the UF running game cannot get going again, will Meyer risk over using Tebow?"
I think you are reaching pretty hard when you raise the possibility of "over-using" Tebow. Tebow really had only one problem game last year, the Georgia game, and even that wasn't a bad game. We just ran into a team that was beginning to find a real identity in their new youg RB. Florida's offense score plenty -- it was the defense that was the problem.
There's always risk for any player and its just a matter of balancing that against just flat playing the game. I am sure that Meyer is hoping that the running game allows him to take that pressure off of Tebow, and certainly the talent is there. But if for whatever reason it doesn't go as hoped, he won't hesitate to use Tebow to run the ball quite often. Remember, Tebow enjoys running through and over defensive LBs.
If I were you, I'd spend less time trying to conjure up some scenario that you hope would happen so you can criticize either Meyer or Tebow or both, and focus your energies on concocting some outlandish scheme whereby your offense can score more than 17 points a game. Hoping that the Gator offense falters is just made up fantasy and the facts are clearly otherwise.
Well here is the million dollar question.
Has FU's D gotten any better? Spring practice would indicate they haven't.
I couldn't have said it any better myself.I honestly do not know the answer to that question. Logic would say that all those freshmen and otherwise green players last year, would improve as they enter their second year starting. but until they play in some game conditions, we won't know.
I cannot agree with you that their performance in the Spring game is cause for concern because they were playing against one of the top 2 or 3 offenses in the country. Most defenses would look pretty bad against our offense, especially in a scrimmage with limited hitting.
The reality is that Florida's defense was awful last year and we lost four games by what, something like a total of 20 points? The truth is that Florida's defense probably only has to be mediocre in order for the team to win.
As I say, we won't know until we play a tough offense. However, based on how yours fared against this allegedly horrific defense last year, it is clear to me that the Gators won't be getting that test in Neyland.
