Florida Offense

If the Gators don't get to the SECCG it will be because Georgia is as good as advertised.

Florida has represented the east 1 time in the past 7 years, yet you act like it's a no-brainer that they'll win the division every year.

This year, you mean. And except for the question mark about that pesky team in Athens, it is a no brainer that Florida is favored to win it. Will they? No clue.

And by the way the SEC CG has existed since 1992. I see you conveniently used the last seven years. But snce then, the Gators have represented the East 8 times, UT 5 times, and UGA 3 times.

In other words, we have been there half the time it has existed and you and UGA split the other half.

I might add that of those eight appearances, Florida won six of them, or 75 %.

Of UT's five appearances, they won only twice, or 40 %.

UGA is 2-1.

Interesting stat.

You're right...what was I thinking by using recent history as an example. Why stop at 2001? Why stop at 92? Let's go all the way back and look at Florida's long and impressive history of SEC dominance...UF's 7 conference championships look great compared to Georgia's 12 and Tennessee's 13.

Well, seems to me that going back to the date it began, which was only 1992 and not that long ago, makes some logical sense. But, there I go again, using reason and logic and not plain old blind alumni loyalty. I consider myself chastised.

Yep, reason and logic...the two cornerstones of all of your posts.

You never demonstrate any of that "plain old blind alumni loyalty." Remind me again how Tim Tebow is the clear-cut, definitive #1 draft pick in the NFL whenever he decides to leave Florida.

Thankyou, sir!

They were consensus preseason top 5, and the favorite to win the sec east.

Their ranking had to have been on hype. They replaced pretty much everyone on defense and lost a 4 year starter at quarterback.

It wont happen again I can assure you that because after last years beatdown, if we get the lead, you can kiss the game goodbye.

Thanks for clearing that up. We have the same head coach but if the Vols win, what does that mean? :cool2:

It has been 3 years now - but I can see it ending up at 5 in a row just like the 90's or going 7 for 8 like '93 - '00
I'm proud of you for doing the research and responding to the question. But as far as your predictions, since I failed clairvoyance 101, I'm just gonna say "We'll see"....

I think it would be the pits if we beat UF, only to flub the rest of the season to UGA, or something, who goes on a title run. It would make beating Florida almost pointless.

Beating Florida could never be pointless, even if it was the only win of the season. Just ask LG.
