Florida has represented the east 1 time in the past 7 years, yet you act like it's a no-brainer that they'll win the division every year.
This year, you mean. And except for the question mark about that pesky team in Athens, it is a no brainer that Florida is favored to win it. Will they? No clue.
And by the way the SEC CG has existed since 1992. I see you conveniently used the last seven years. But snce then, the Gators have represented the East 8 times, UT 5 times, and UGA 3 times.
In other words, we have been there half the time it has existed and you and UGA split the other half.
You're right...what was I thinking by using recent history as an example. Why stop at 2001? Why stop at 92? Let's go all the way back and look at Florida's long and impressive history of SEC dominance...UF's 7 conference championships look great compared to Georgia's 12 and Tennessee's 13.
Well, seems to me that going back to the date it began, which was only 1992 and not that long ago, makes some logical sense. But, there I go again, using reason and logic and not plain old blind alumni loyalty. I consider myself chastised.
