Florida Southern vs. Tennessee 1:00pm **Official Game Thread**

Stokes looked like an NBA player today

You also must consider that the other team played pretty much without a post player. He did what he was supposed to do today. He did show that he can get up the floor and you can tell he enjoys it. I think sticking him on the block after dribbling out the shot clock takes him out of his game.

Remember Barton did not play, we are very deep and I think we have a chance to be very good. Richardson has improved his shot and Hubbs is the real deal.

He had moves around the basket that he didn't show last year and hit a nice turn around jumper from about 12 feet out.

Barton's D and shooting should really help this team. Thompson will continue to get better.

I think Barton and Thompson will split minutes pretty evenly. Really excited about this teams potential

Didn't get to watch the whole game, only highlights and the last 10 min or so of the 2nd half once I figured out that I could watch it through my iphone. Haven't seen a mention of Edwards anywhere? Was pretty shocked by how well he played! Also at AJ Davis! Wow he's going to be special for us years to come. Hubbs for 17 also! Wow I was impressed. I don't think Thompson is ready to have all of those minutes but do think he did a solid job for his debut. This team can become dangerous come march if everyone starts gelling together like I think they will and if they can stay healthy!

He no longer looks like his only move is bull in a china shop. First was the fast break that he goes euro step left handed reverse lay up, and looked smooth doing it. Then next was the turn around 12 foot fadeaway, never seen that move before from him.

Just sucks Stokes and Maymon will only get about 7 min of playing time together per half. After the first rotation we didn't see them in together much.

Yeah. I wish we had a backup center who was really ready for 15 minutes a game on the 2nd string unit (even if he would usually play less), because I think Davis or Moore could/will anchor the backup PF. I don't think Pops is quite there yet, though he hopefully will be by midseason.

I hope Barton's injury isn't a nagging one. McRae at point just doesn't work.

I agree here too. Maybe Richardson can act as the point instead in the halfcourt, though I think McRae is better at bringing the ball up court while being pressured. It takes away from what McRae does well when he has to play PG.

All the sudden we're really deep now. I remember reading posts on here saying we weren't deep past our starting 5.

Also, Reese got a solid 5-7 minutes this game. If him or Q transferred after this year, I could see it being Q over Reese.

So Reese played about 7 minutes and Hubbs close to 30 iirc....you still thinking Hubbs averaged around 10mpg and Reese 15 plus?

I agree with you about which is more likely to transfer though, Q didn't get any minutes, same for Galen.

I only watched the highlights but... how did Richardson look at point? I'm worried that Barton may not be a great distributor, more of a scorer, and McRae cannot be our point.
