Florida Southern vs. Tennessee 1:00pm **Official Game Thread**

Thompson looked extremely good. Offense always stalled when he went out. Had some excellent passes.

Stokes looked like a beast. AJ really reminds me of JP. I didn't have really high expectations for Hubbs but I think he is going to be a little bit better than I thought.

I think Hubbs impressed a lot of us today. He made some mature, veteran moves for someone his age. The spin move to the bucket that Freak referenced was strong.

I'm kind of an ass :)

It's all good. :)

I only meant that I jumped on sarcasm in a similar matter and you just let me know (well you and omghulkhands.) I came to quickly understand the jokes and sarcasm in here.

I'll post my thoughts here from watching live....

*Holy Stokes...dude looks awesome, can't say enough.

*McRae looks like he's gonna pick up right where he left off

*Richardsons shot does indeed look better.

*Maymon looked a bit rusty, but his post passing is gonna be a huge addition.

*Once Hubbs settled in you could see the potential oozing, hopefully this game will give him confidence going forward.

*Thompson looked decent, his defense was a bit lacking and ball handling will need work, but you can see the potential.

*First 7 seems clear, Barton/McRae/Richardson/Maymon/Stokes/Hubbs/Thompson....after that you'll have Moore & Davis, probably just ride the hot hand. Reese, Pops and Edwards saw very minimal playing time, and Chievius saw none.

Stokes also likes to move around and play ball and can run as we saw a couple times today. I think he likes facing the basket with a little space much more than posting, unless it's a quick deep post like we saw a few times today from he and Maymon. He can be creative with various angles getting the ball in the rim, but that's taken away when not facing the rim.

Spot on IMO.

I've been on the end of a zjcvols sarcasm post over here, so I know how it feels.

Haha, I just jumped in here to see what happened today and all I seen was 17 points (bust) I was like oh hell no, I gotta comment on that. Lol

Interesting headline at GVX: "Vols overcome early scare, beat Florida Southern in exhibition opener". Was anyone actually "scared"?

When the hell did Stokes develop a turn-around jumper? (2:30 mark)

Team looks pretty damn good overall, IMO.

Man we look good. Stokes looks so much more explosive at his new weight. Thompson is a stick figure Coach C is going to have to work his magic with him. Hubbs looks like he's going to be a freaking monster. BTO is right he is just oozing with potential.
