Florida sucks and I love it!

They had a ton of key injuries last year. That being said, you still shouldn’t lose to App State on your home field. One bad year and you’re on the hot seat. A second one and you’re gone. Jimbo did enough to stay afloat until last season. If he and Napier flounder again this year, they’ll both be unemployed - and there’s a lot more $$ in Texas than Florida.
IIRC, there are other protections in Fisher's contract that makes him next to impossible to fire.

I've seen this movie too many times= Florida looks bad at the start of season, only to find magic and talent when they play TN. But I agree, they looked bad and out of sorts all night.

So no need to overreact after 1 game since Florida has constantly found ways to outplay Tennessee even when on paper Tennessee has a better team.

They had 21 points through 55 minutes last year. They scored more at the end after we let up. I wouldn't call that a brilliant game.
Go back and watch the highlights. Napier called some excellent 4th down conversion plays and gambled at just the right times. He managed to keep them in a game that should have been out of reach. Everyone keeps talking about the 55 minute thing like that means anything..... If you have watched this series as most of us old duffers have you know what happens in final 5 is huge. All I know is that the Gators were a deep ball into the endzone away from an upset on final play. An upset that would have been tragic for our season. Had ARich chosen to just put it in the endzone instead of short, everyone in orange would have felt their butthole tighten up bigtime.

That would have happened if Rising played.

Florida got the moral victory of keeping the game from being an embarrassment according to the score.
That score was mot a reflection if the game. My prediction was wrong but knowing Florida was slow and couldn't get more than 11 points is amazing IMO.

Will be hard to keep they recruiting class together if they go 6-6 or worse. Especially with FSU down there road looking like title contenders and Miami throwing NIL deals around like they are candy.
We shall see. You can bet they will be the Green Bay Packers when Tennessee goes down there.

The Gators were close at the end b/c AR is an athletic freak and we let up. I mean not only did we play deep zone defense, but offensively all we tried to do was run as much time off the clock. Didn't take any deep shots.

That was a poorly coached team, but they'll probably get those silly mistakes fixed in two weeks. If not, they're gonna have a VERY long season.

How many years have we been assured of a blow out or to dominate Florida ( usually because they have a freshmen qb or rookie due to injuries ) and still give us fits. Seems Florida with a new freshman qb would manage to beat Tn who plays a 4 year seniior qb. I feel good about our chances, but don't sleep on them
