Florida suspends 7 for Michigan game

Ugh.

Guaranteed every gator will be on the field for Tennessee. Every single one. This is how mcelwain wins.

Do you ever reflect on how dumb you make us all look? "How are you going to win the east if you lose to us." Oops just happened. Terrible nicknames about Alabama. The constant prediction of Bama failure. Which you act like is accurate even when they still win the SEC.

Sooo just wondering did anyone think how stupid it is for all the players to use the same excuse of their cards "being stolen". I mean seriously we all were that age but at least I wasn't stupid enough to run the same game as 7 other dudes at the same time. Thank god they don't consider this fraud which it most certainly is. But look on the bright side, now we have an built in excuse why we lost to a less talented and younger michgain team.

There's an active investigation. Don't think criminal charges are out of the question at some point.

Sounds like Florida could use (say about 10) kids that are CHAMPIONS OF LIFE. :)

Now seeing that the FL fullback turned the latest two guys in to police.

Spectrum Sports has learned that a Florida Gators player implicated running back Jordan Scarlett and wide receiver Rick Wells into an ongoing investigation of a misuse of school issued funds.

According to a source, the Gators player named both Scarlett and Wells to the University of Florida Police Department.

The source says that their involvement in the alleged misconduct is the reason both will be suspended for Saturday’s season opener against Michigan. Head coach Jim McElwain confirmed Wednesday the two players will not travel to Arlington, Texas, but did not specifically address the reason for their suspension. McElwain says he wasn’t made aware of Scarlett and Wells involvement until Wednesday afternoon.

Scarlett led UF in rushing last year, totaling 889 yards and six touchdowns. He was expected to start this week.

The Gators will now be without 10 players for Saturday’s opener, but that number could rise. A source tells Spectrum Sports more players will be suspended in the future due to their involvement in the ongoing UFPD investigation.
On August 13, seven players, including top wide receiver Antonio Callaway were suspended. Multiple reports link the seven suspensions to a misuse of school issued funds.

What's the rumors behind these suspensions?

Many different things...the 3 guys for being arrested probably won't be playing. 7 guys for at least byu....1 of those for quite a few games. A few of them are for team violations 6-8 months ago. A few other players in the dog house.

Expect many freshman to play saturday.

Gotcha. Good luck to you all although I'm sure you should handle them. How do you feel about the game?

:hi:
I think LSU has more than enough...if Lsu blows them out, i don't think it means much....if its closer than expected I don't think it means much. If Byu dominates lsu's defense...that is a concern going forward.

I could see Canada's offense struggle at times.

Man. That article said they expect more players to be named in the future. That's not good for Florida AT ALL.

This could be a rabbit hole to hell for their season
