Yea and has proven no matter how many 4 and 5 stars he has, he cant do squat without Tblow. Sorry but nice try.

No editorial required on this point. The numbers in 2005 and 2010 make the case vs. UMeyer being the genius the Gators though he was.

Same for Mack Brown without VYoung and Colt McCoy.

It is suprising to see:

1. Amateurs (i.e., everyone here) speaking definitively about what is in the head of 17 year olds they have never met.
2. Florida Gator fans trolling here. Ah, how the mighty have fallen (7-6).

I have added Marcus Jackson to the list. Not sure about Pagan.

Hialeah isn't a troll. Just because someone roots for another team and posts here doesn't make them a troll. You appear to be an amateur yourself posting that idiotic list of recruits you think we have a shot at. :birgits_giggle:

Everyone says the gators will be back next year and I would venture to guess that all of you had the gators at 10-2 at worst this year. How many gator fans had them at a 5 loss season? After all, they did have commits leave during the games and say it was painful to watch!

My guess, like all of your guesses, are that we will sign a couple that no one knew about and lose a couple that we thought we had. I think Bray put us in contention for more than we know.

This. As much as I hate Florida, they have a lot of young talent and will be tough next year. Tebow was a great player for them and they had to change their game plan going into this year and it didn't go as planned. They'll have a year under their belt as do we with young players and will be back to a 9-3 or 10-2 team.

Florida just can't decide, hey, we're going to start running a Pro Set offense, then, voila, do it. The line isn't built for it and the RBs are all smurfs. Brantley would have more success in the Big 10.

There's no quick turnaround down there without a QB who can run for 3rd and 5 every time (a la Tim Tebow).

Just my opinion, but I see the gators the way most use to see us.Fulmer wasnt much of a coach without coach cut running the off.
Urbie without Mullens isnt much of a coach and it showed for the last 2 years.

The list is accurate based on ESPN and Rivals data.

I have expressed no opinion on whether the Vols will get any of them.

Read the post, sir.

Marcus Jackson will be a Vol very soon if his visit (with his mom along) goes well this upcoming weekend. I would say its very likely he will be a Vol and soon since he is a EE.

Staff hasn't contacted Chick in forever. Burton isnt going anywhere bit UF. It's still early though. Never know but I wouldn't say the programs are in shambles.

Relative to August expectations, no honest fan at Fla, Tex, Mia, USC or Michigan can say their program is heading in the right direction.

If I had to guess, I would say Florida will be much better next year. Most of those guys are young and will be back. Urban is too good of a coach not to right the ship.

With that said, I do hope that I'm wrong.

GO VOLS!!!!

Meyer is too good of a coach to ever try a 3 QB system... woops.

We will see how good he is because he is at a dangerous crossroad right now. He either trusts his first decision and stays with the new staff members which could be a mistake or he makes changes which could be a mistake.

One thing Meyer will have to do is decide what the identity of his football team is going to be. Even with the great Tebow, his O became less mystifying over time. Last year, UF's scoring vs the SEC fell to 26 ppg after being 38+ in the previous two seasons. Contrary to the assurances of some, the spread option scheme advantage has pretty much diminished in the SEC. Once again... it all comes down to having the right players in the right system executing that system well.

So what does he do? Does he try to go straight pro-style with Brantley or ditch him for Reed?

Hosing Brantley like that could have long lasting effects on recruiting also.

He's definitely at a crossroads.

To see if who's staying around? Meyer? Addazzio?

Both.. after this weekend we lost the lead for KB because of Meyer sticking with Dazz. Most of our high profile recruits have been on defense over the last two cycles so I think Meyer is betting on them coming around next season. This season was a total failure. I knew we would fall but this is hard to handle. Can't blame any kid that doesn't want to be part of this mess in Gainesville.Three Qbs is crazy but when you have three different people game planning I guess you geta three ring circus. I believe Urban will make the right changes. IF not he could be the next Larry Croker.

Cam Newton would have been a better Tebow that Tebow was.

One down season for Florida and Texas and they are in shambles, now that's funny.

Because people assume that it'll be just like 2005 for us, and that led to the collapse of our program.

odd thing Meyer said the other night after the debacle in Talahassee is that the repair of his program will begin with "recruiting". Really? Anyone else think that comment is just weird and strange? How much better can his recruiting be?

Nope...we are one step closer to becoming FSU/UGA if Meyer doesn't make changes within his staff. UF doesn't need a complete overhaul but Durkin and Scot Loefler need to be gone...Heater to LB and hire another a DL coach that can recruit South Fla. On the other side of the ball....easy, Dazz has to be demoted or leave. Hire a new OC that can run both forms of the spread. IMO fire Drayton but he holds to many keys in Fla this season so he gets another year. All this is too logical...I think Meyer will fire everyone but Heater and Brian White.
