I wish we could play Florida again . . .
That would be nice... it's depressing to think we should be 6-0 (2-0) and ranked probably 2nd or 3rd in the Nation. But I'm trying not to dwell on that....
IMO, "dominated" is too strong a word. I will concede, as I think all reasonably astute Vol fans would that, in some areas, we were out-muscled. I think UF played the better game overall and, despite some abhorrent officiating, deserved to win. Implicit I think in the post you were responding to is that the Vols are clearly surging right now and are a lot closer to realizing the potential that was there all of last year and again this year. We are gelling mucho, have improved even in the few weeks since the Florida game, and if we played again now, I believe Tennessee would make a much stronger showing. Not to take anything away from UF; they're unbeaten, very strong and deserve to be where they are. For fun's sake, I will caution you though not to get too comfy at the no. 2 spot - the Vols are sneaking up behind, and if/when the Gators slip, maybe the Vols will wave courteously as they walk on by you in the polls. The score was not indicative of the way that Florida dominated the game. Ought to have been more like UF 28, UT 13.
what were you saying about annoying Florida fans earlier? Wasn't it that they didn't appreciate when they escaped with a win?
Totally different and in fact quite the opposite. LSU played Florida much closer than did UT. Just as Florida got a lot of breaks to prevail this past Saturday, UT caught a lot to make it as close versus Florida as it was.
Right now, I have to tell you that I think LSU beats you pretty handily.
You are correct LG Florida was clearly the better team, but IMO Florida was just as lucky. For all of the dominance, had UT kept their offensive foot to the pedal, there is a chance they win the game.
Right now, I have to tell you that you're an idiot.
:lolabove: surely you jest
i cant wait till you lose saturday

UT should've won that game 23-21 after a game-winning FG by Wilhoit. You have no idea what you're talking about.
We had no Foster or Coker.Ainge is stedily getting better. We played u well, not well enough.Totally different and in fact quite the opposite. LSU played Florida much closer than did UT. Right. But what I'm saying is that I DON'T want to play LSU again because the two teams are so evenly matched in Game One that that the result could be different. The difference is that I feel that UT, having been fortunate to play Florida so close given the overall performance, ought not want to play Florida again as the result would probably be much more lopsided towards UF.
Just saying those that want another shot at UT need to realize that, at the end of the year, when the final decisions are being made as to bowls, a one point loss to Florida will seem pretty good compared to what it could have been.
If the game were in Red Stick I might just climb in that boat with you LG.
To UT's credit, I saw a few things Saturday night that made me think this offense is actually evolving, and getting better every week. I am not crying over spilt milk. You and I both agree that UT was outmatched in the Florida game. I honestly think the LSU defense will have more problems matching up against the Vols than they did against Florida. This is a different offense than Florida saw three weeks ago.
