Florida

Not really, Florida has been showing the dink and dunk all offseason. They love screens, curls, and getting it to the RB out of the backfield. It's not a down the field passing attack because they still don't trust Brantley.

Exactly how do you know this? Muschamp has kept everything under wraps since practice started. I'm telling you NO Gator fan knew what to expect last night, except perhaps a more competent coaching job than UF had at any point last season.

I just want to bring up another stat: FAU had 30 Rushing Attempts for 30 total yards. If Tennessee can't figure out a way to run the ball against Cincinnati, they could be in a load of trouble vs the UF front 7 if Bray has to drop back and pass every down.

That's it right there, excellent point. I caught the first half of this game and UF's front 7 are very good and will only get better. UF looks like they will be very good again soon.

Yeah, I like how all those Vol fans defend their offense and defense saying it was vanilla, and then say, oh Florida's offense is simple and doesn't look tough.

Florida didn't show much.

They practiced some movement at the LOS, they worked on the no-huddle, and they took what FAU gave them, which was the short stuff all night.

Things for UT fans to think about legitimately:

1. Florida has dynamic running backs and a pretty dangerous running game.
2. Florida's OL allowed 0 sacks and looked better than last year.
3. Florida's DL, even without Floyd playing, was insanely disruptive, especially in the interior. The front 7 as a whole was very impressive. FAU had 30 yards rushing on 30 attempts.
4. Florida's secondary is aggressive, but inexperienced, although they held out RS Jr Jeremy Brown due to injury.
5. Florida's passing game is 10x better than last year, completing a number of downfield passes on third down allowing UF to finish 7-10 on the night after only converting 38% of their 3rd downs last year.

Bottom line: UF is better than 2010. Clearly.

That last sentence is true, but based on our schedule our 2011 results might look similar to 2010.

Our weaknesses are the interior o-line and secondary. I was pleased with everything else, including Brantley. The offense look much better...a trained monkey is an upgrade over Addazio, let alone a 4-time Super Bowl champion offensive coordinator.

Weis was the OC of those Patriots like anyone but Bobby Petrino is at Arkansas.

Our schedule really doesn't look that bad after watching the Auburn game yesterday. 9 wins is DEFINITELY possible IMHO...

So you agree, but felt compelled to argue anyway.

I'm shocked.

Agree with what? You used the super bowls as a descriptor and it's like saying I'm qualified to write the constitution because I've been to Monticello.

Weiss was only OC for 3 patriots' super bowl championships

Congrats. Welcome to mediocrity on the back of good recruiting.

Hey, I'm being straight honest about the difficulty of our schedule. I'm pretty sure we have the toughest schedule in the SEC, although Auburn's could be tougher. A 9 win season for UF this year with that schedule should be considered a success, considering a completely new coaching staff, and new offensive/defensive systems.

Your use of hyperbole is noted.

Keep riding that Weis Super Bowl tangent until the wheels fall off. :eek:lol:

How is your schedule tougher than ours or LSUs?

I'm pretty sure Tennessee plays Alabama, LSU, Arkansas out of the West. Who does UF play to make their schedule tougher than that? They going to do a double header with Bama or LSU?

Auburn, Alabama and LSU looked tough before the season started. Now, not so much.
