Flu Shot

Hearing this year's vaccine is only 10% effective against the flu. I guess it's every man for himself for the next 4 months.

Not sure where you heard that, but not true. First off: way too early to tell. Secondly, most of the tested influenza A specimens thus far react with the ferret antisera from animals vaccinated with the recommended vaccine.

Hopefully you are right but it's data coming out of Australia with regard to Influenza A strain H3N2.

"In the land down under, where the 2017 flu season is now a wrap, public health officials reported record-high rates of flu, as well as above-average numbers of hospitalizations and deaths. The most common flu strain there was the influenza A virus known as H3N2, and the vaccine given to Australians had an effectiveness of only 10%, according to preliminary estimates."
