Flying in the US

No problem for me. Detain and cuff me and then let me on my way. What would you say if no one did anything and he/she was up to something. It would go something like this: Useless Barney's were told about the suspect before she blew the plane up but they didn't do anything.... It's a no win situation.

Would you have been one of the people shouting Patrick Henry down?

"give me liberty or give me death"

Ve must zee your papers citizen!

I used to fly a lot for business and personal. My last flight was in 2006. No more for me. But, that's a personal decision I can make. Well, so far I can still make some personal decisions.

Who cares? No planes crashed into any buildings on 911 this year. If someone gets detained for looking/acting suspicious, than so be it.

I've had stupid shiz happen to me at airports on way way to combat. Did any American citizens die? Hell no, be happy about that and not pissed that some random chick got detained.

Hard to believe so many are willing to throw away their freedom in the face of fear. Grow some balls. Groping someone at the airport ain't stop a terrorist if they're determined to get through. Terrorists are humans and they will adapt and find new ways to do their deeds.

Yeah, on your way to combat. Combat to protect my freedoms. Yup. Useful that. Why dont you see if you can go kill some more people that dont hurt me at the behest of people who take my freedoms.

That's one of the dumbest posts I've ever read. Why dont you move your ass to other country if you don't like America and your freedoms.

Just let 'em all through.

Then shrug your shoulders when thousands die and proclaim, "At least air travel is convenient."

So placing barriers in the way to prevent another terrorist attack is stupid? "Yeah, f'k it. Lets just not do anything cause an attack will happen again anyway". Sound logic there.

When will people grow up and learn that the only people who threaten are freedoms are our own government. Guess what, no one in Iran or Egypt or even Afghanistan, can take one freedom away from me. My own government does it daily. And some people, who work for that government and take their orders from it, want to claim they are defending my freedoms? From who? How will the evil take my freedom?

If you are one of those people who prefers to be 'safe' than free, then I will never change your mind and you will never change mine.

Placing make-believe barriers that just inconvenience people but do nothing to actually improve security is stupid.

Do the dead from 9/11 and their families' collective freedoms count? See, you're welcome to forego yours and be a pacifist dope smoking dillhole. Strangely, they don't have the option.

So, you think the United States should ignore the threats we face? If not, what is your solution to the problem?

If your house is continually being burglarized because you leave the door unlocked, will you not decide to lock your door or place additional safeguards to protect your life and property? Or should you just stubbornly say you prefer to not stop and lock your door because you feel less free?

Are you really arguing that airplane security isn't improved? Please say you aren't.

Please tell me that proof of our willingness to come knock on your door doesn't keep bad guys at bay to some degree.

Over 3 thousand Americans died in one day. If your mom or dad or someone close to you died that day. Would you think differently? I don't have the luxury of picking where I get ordered to go, but I go on my on accord. You said how you feel, I said how I feel.

The day my little brother died in a car wreck didn't suddenly make me think that mandatory seat belt laws were good. Is that similar?

Emotional appeals are not good for making rational decisions. Arguments based on emotion are automatically suspect.

Never done drugs in my life. Never will.

The fact that someone took those victims freedom is an excuse to take my freedom how?

I am a pacifist because of religious beliefs, if you can't accept that, then I can't do anything for you. Maybe we should all just have your beliefs?

No, it isn't similar. Nobody intentionally killed your brother for being an American.
