+/- for every player

so i got started looking at this in another thread and figured id do it for the whole team as SOME people may be interested in it. im going to use the roland rating in posting the +/- for each player, so i'll explain what that is.

basically you are taking the +/- of the team with player A on the court and subtracting it from the +/- of the team with player A off the court. in short this basically shows you how the team plays with each player on the court vs off the court, and tells you who is the better player for the team. so with that said here is the Roland Rating AVERAGE for each player:

Trae Golden- +4.5
Skylar Mcbee- -1.2
Josh Richardson- -2.9
Cameron Tatum- +.08
Jeronne Maymon- -1.00
Jarnell Stokes- -.13
Jordan Mcrae- +0.6
Kenny Hall- -1.5


biggest surprise to me is that tatum is in the +, i looked further and its because of his early season production. in the last 5 games he is actually -10:shakehead:

clearly trae golden is our man out there and we go how he goes. in 10 of our 12 losses he has a negative +/-, so we obviously need him to play well. i fully expect stokes number to go up as he cuts out turnovers as well.

I dont think anyone needs a Roland rating to tell you that UT needs better gaurd play to win.

why are you such a douche? i dont think a UT fan board needs a UK fan coming and posting telling us what we want to read and dont want to read as fans.

I wasnt being rude in any way. If i sounded rude, sorry. I think the stats are interesting. I also think it supports the obvious fact that guard play is a huge part of any teams success (or failures).

Sorry, wasnt trying to sound rude. I admit, i did sound harsh.

A just a little. You need a delay on your keyboard that makes you wait 30 seconds and read it before you send, you say things you later realize we're wrong lol.

Trust me, I read it. I wasnt wrong in my comments. You overreacted. No need to call someone a "douche" over every little issue.

Its harder to understand how it sounds when you're reading it on the computer and not listening to the person say it as they would.

Bleeding overreacted. No need to insult people every chance you get.

I have no problem with other team's fans posting here. It adds an extra point of view which is always nice to have.

When it's you and you repeatedly to this it's warranted man. Me calling you a douche wasn't how it sounded when I said it but reading it on a computer it came out different I guess!

I apologize because i'd rather swallow my pride than get into a useless argument where no one wins. However, i admit, i do get annoyed at UK bashing here. But it's something im learning to accept.

I havent repeatedly done it. I have been nothing but nice to UT basketball for a long time now. I have been critical, yes...But only as much as the UT fans here have been doing. Probably less compared to many.

Again, no need to call someone a douche. If you think im trolling, just ignore me.

It wasnt trollish. It was exactly the obvious thing the stats show and what everyone knows.

But who cares...I'd rather say sorry than argue.

What else is there to add to the topic other than UT needs a better guard. I think that you already have great inside play and good shooting. A point guard is the only thing lacking.
