For the Fire Fulmer Crowd

Phillip Fulmer has lost complete control of this program, and when u lose control, u never get it back in college football. It is OVER for Phil.

I've heard a lot of talk about coaches getting upset about the raise and promotion of one Trooper Taylor. I have to agree with it, and of the talk of people wanting to get rid of Taylor, I hate that.

Trooper brings a youthful, energetic atmosphere to the ball team and is one hell of a recruiter. Last year, he did a hell of a job with the tailbacks and this year, he has helped mold Arian Foster into something special.

I am an anti-Fulmer guy. I hope the Vols clean house with most of the positions, but I hope they keep this guy.

butch davis would not pull this program down,  but fulmer will.  just because he helped build the program we shouldn't give him a chance to burn it down.  he has taken the program as far as he can now it is time to let somebody else take over.

I agree that Fulmer will not be able to fix the program. He has had several years to fix the program and has been out coached by all of the top programs in the SEC over the last several years. The Fulmer era is over. Next year under Fulmer may be better, but it will not be good enough.

Right. Failure in the pros means you can't cut it in college. Look at Pete Carroll.

2001: 11-2
2002: 8-5
2003: 10-3
2004: 10-3
2005: 5-6 :cross:

Other than 02, and this miserable excuse for a season, where's the decline? I see three 10 win season's in the past 5.

You honestly think someone would want to coach a school that avgs 10-3 over the past 4 seasons..won several SEC Championships, a NC, and has one bad season and the coach is fired?  Unrealistic expectations there.

Unranked 3 of last 6 seasons at a school that has the 2nd most players on active NFL rosters.

2 SEC titles in 13 years at a school that has had the most players drafted into the NFL of any team in the country since 1994.

Record vs big five since '01 6-10

Record vs top 10 since '01 3-14

10 win seasons are fine. But you have to win something to be considered a great year. The problem is that CPF's 3 loss seasons where he wins nothing is all he has to hang his hat on right now.

Also, this is important...10 win seasons are not as glamorous now that we are playing 13 game seasons. That will typically equate to losing 2 conference games and an out of conference or bowl game. In 2003 we won 10 games and lost to an unranked team in the Peach Bowl by double digits and barely stayed in the top 20.
