5 star Recruiting and the highest 4 star no doubt is what helps win championship. There is around a pool of 60+ kids that our heads and shoulder better than everyone else in their position Group so few amongst many teams trying to get. The trick is the group of 300+ kids that are pretty much equal so even services struggle to put one kid ahead of another. So trusting your coaches on evaluation and learning the kids that have true heart to excel in the toughest sport which trust me many don't have and then coaching them up to excel. Even then there are kids that have no stars that excel because no one knew about them This is why so many 3 star and below make up the NFL draft. In CHRIST Alone
And you think it is "frozen tundra"? Ann Arbor? Hyperbole much?
There are kids who obviously think Michigan is too cold... and who think UT is too cold.
The UP is kind of a world unto itself both environment and people. But UofM is only about 50 miles closer to Marquette than Knoxville. It is also far enough away from the lakes to avoid lake effect snow.I was kind of exaggerating here obviously, but it's not a stretch to say that it is damn cold up there in the winter, the northern half of Michigan is considered taiga (sub arctic region)...only place in the lower 48 like that, and that summers are short.
we have been getting "the right players" for the past 3 rebuilds.. we have all seen how that is working out.
