For those in attendance

Yes. They played those loud speakers every chance they could. And blew that horn on every third down. Even when D. Samp and Squirrel were hurt on the field. I was on the same side of the band and never heard them.
Ah, the vandie farting foghorn. Equivalent with the class of that bush league place. That & the laughable "anchor" thing.

Did Vanderbilt do the loud music over the PA system thing again to drown out UT band again like 2022?

Sounded on TV like they did.

Complete bush league program
Not just that but they routinely played the music while we were at the line trying to call a play. That is a no-no.

I had Vandy season tickets this season, and the music yesterday was much louder than versus VT, Alabams, or Texas. However, I will say that they had the volume at painful levels against USC, even louder than yesterday.

What did the other side look like? TV said the stadium was 80% orange, but some Vandy fans are saying it was 50/50 and the other side was all Vandy.
Tv was correct. The other side had a little
More black than the side I was on. Because one corner had, what I believe was the alumni section,(because they had some chant when the ‘dores scored their first 2 TD’s) but it was about 60/40 orange on that side.

The anchor thing was definitely different, only thing I liked about it was they used a retired vet to “slam” the anchor onto the field. But my daughter even said she was getting tired of that stupid horn. About as annoying as the whistler.

I was on the other side and it our section was 80% orange easily. There was not a significant block of Vandy fans anywhere, even in the "premium" seating areas. And that music is so obnoxious- it takes away the college game environment and feels like a bad outdoor concert. Vandy should have been penalized every time they opt it playing when we were calling a play- I thought that was a rule but it sure wasn't enforced.

MAN!! A glutton for punishment.
I have a good reason…

It was actually a really fun year. It was a fun team to watch. One of the best games I’ve ever been to was the Alabama game. The stunned look on their fans faces and their expressions of disbelief brought joy to my eyes and music to my ears.

That being said, their fans are pretty insufferable. They are not like other SEC fans. They have an air of superiority that will just not allow them to have fun. Pavia’s family has a whole section down by the 10 yard line. They call at the Pavia Mafia. They know how to have fun! They need to teach the rest of the Vanderbilt fans how to cheer.

There was a brief clip of Vandy flag boy running with a large banner in front of the ABC camera.

Let me just put this way… I am so happy VOLS have Davy Crockett.

I do love our traditions and Davy Crockett. Vanderbilt does not have many good traditions and the ones they have are kind of lame.

I think it’s normally an ROTC kid. When they played Virginia Tech and it was like 100° out, there was a girl and boy doing it. I thought they were going to pass out!

Eh. So our band played when we were on defense. They did NOT blast the music, that may have bothered their offense (rolleyes).

They did not hesitate to blast it when we were on offense (grrrr). No doubt it contributed to some of the false starts. Their crowed was vastly outnumbered and by no means could they have made any significant amount of noise. So ya! It SUCKED!!!!
We can't make an excuse for false starts we have those every game.

They played music loudly every chance they got, even in the few seconds between our offensive snaps. Awful selection too, felt like I was at a club for teenage girls. I was talking mad smack about it to the Vandy fans behind us the entire time.

They happen more frequently on the road, and they happen to teams visiting Neyland frequently. Not an excuse, but a statement of fact.

Doesn't mean I like them or don't want them to stop, it does mean the pumped in music makes them more likely.

Even that is dumb if you know that they're Commodores because Cornelius Vanderbilt owned a ferry fleet that was used by commuters to get from New Jersey to Manhattan before the GW Bridge and the tunnels. He definitely had no association with an actual navy.
