For those of you who are scared of Mizzou

This will we a very tough game.

OP left off:

Mizzou defense #22 in total defense. #38 in scoring defense. Which is even more impressive when you consider Franklin being hurt and the offense doing poorly. Held UF to 14 points in the Swamp. How many did our D give up in Neyland to UF?

UT Defense #112 and #107 respectively. Troy - 721 yards.

Quit being delusional. None of y'all are on the field trying to play Sal's Matador Defense.

For those of you who are scared of Mizzou

I think most Vol fans are scared of our Defense. Is any lead safe? We were up 28-10 on a sunbelt team and they took the lead before we made it 31-30 at half. I don't see us blowing anybody out, so Vol fans will watch every minute hoping we can score enough to win.

I love how some of you blame Chavis for that LSU loss. That loss falls directly on the idiocy of Les Miles. All and I mean ALL coaches use a prevent defense. Every single coach in college and NFL uses a prevent.

But hey, you're right. Our defense is so much better since Chavis is gone... My God the lack of football knowledge amongst some fans is truly amazing.

this is for a select few on here who apparently don't get it.

some of you are still stuck on stupid.

seriously.

tennessee has won 1 of its last 13 conference games. the last win was in overtime against vandy at home. they lost to kentucky playing a wr at qb.

yet, some of you are still going to look at some sort of statistical ranking regarding your opponent and act like "no problem, we've got this". how some of you can witness what you have and be dismissive of any opponent is beyond me.

you need to wake up and smell what you are shoveling.

tennessee is a bad football team with a bad football coach and has a history of mailing in effort.

tennessee may very well beat missouri. wouldn't shock me in the slightest. but, to look at any game on the schedule and not be concerned is total insanity

Good point -- Mizzou did give Florida a tough game and that just happened this past week.

Troy is one heck of a offense, yes they beat our D young D but we started a freshman or 2 I believe and they were playing seniors! Not an excuse but great day Troy almost beat missippi state!

They almost beat Miss St, but they definitely lost to FAU.

Franklin will run over Mc Neil worse than the Troy QB did - and if Gray is in there his passing stats will pick up big time.

Exactly! Even in the worst years under Fulmer the defense was still one of the best in the league. If LSU kicks two fgs instead
of Les always trying to live up to that mad hatter crap, then they have a 9 point lead with under 2 minutes.

I'll be Honest. I think they kick our Tail! Dooley is toast. Sal has no Clue. We are not going to fix the same problems we had this past Saturday. This staff has proven they just don't know how!

Mizzou threw 4 interceptions and still only lost to Florida by a touchdown. Their mobile QB is getting healthy. He presents 2 problems: he can run and throw. Our problem is we can't stop anyone. Not good for us. I don't believe their secondary can cover our WRs. This should be a high scoring game. Their offensive rank is low because Franklin had been hurt most of the year.

Franklin is not the same quarterback he was before the injury, he looks scared alot of the time out there. Our real problem has been our offensive line. We have only a couple starters starting at their original spots, 1 true freshman and a walk-on have started as well. Its hard for any quarterback to do anything when the DLine can get through easily all game long. But, our line did play well against Florida last week, so they're getting better, it seems. Franklin lost the game for us in Florida, plain and simple. He had the shoulder surgery and wasnt 100% and then went and injured his knee, so his throws are horrible.

Our defense can make any offense look good, so statistics to this point are irrelevant.

It's plain and simple. We are now a Pac-12 team playing in the SEC. If we put up 45+ we have a shot at winning.

Tell your O-line not to worry. I literally can't remember the last time our D-line got to a QB.
