good call. His recruiting would really be immaterial there, although he did win with Dungy's players, on the heels of all of Dungy's great recruiting.

I'm still not convinced that winning a Super Bowl 10 years ago and having great name recognition equate to success coaching college football.

Disagree. Been a Raiders fan as long as I've been a Vols fan, and most Raider fans I've interacted with are very open to Gruden returning. Especially without Big Al pulling the strings.
