Forget SEC loyalty...hoping UL beats dem Gators

That's the most fun I've had since Nebraska hung 62 in the mighty gators.

Feels as good as a vol win, anytime the proud gators are humiliated publicly.

Strong's a good coach, but I think Bridgewater is just that outstanding. UL had zero ground game, and TB picked apart the secondary all night long. Florida had incredible fumble luck this year as well. You just can't sustain that.

Taking nothing away from UL, but Gators never showed up for the game. Reminded me of USC vs. GA Tech.

Louisville reminded me of TN's 86' Sugar Bowl win over Miami. They came prepared to play & then played above their heads like they had something to prove. Florida thinks that they just have to show up & the other team will just cave in & quit. I loved watching Florida get curb stomped....you did notice that the Florida fans stop doing the gator chomp with about 5 minutes to go in the game. :cray: Guess it's time for them to swallow their pride some & learn that there is always another team waiting to beat your ass & beat it good....haha. :birgits_giggle:

If one loss causes a recruit to not choose florida then they would never choose us. I hate the gators as much as anyone else but that loss was an embarrassment to the conference IMO.

Exactly. I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy watching the Gators get whupped. But it doesn't help Tennessee one little bit.

Enjoy your slice of humble pie Gators. Typical Gator game filled with personal fouls and pass interference penealities. :birgits_giggle:

They had the same number of penalties in SEC play as UT did, plus they've beaten UT 8 straight times. Not sure what you're laughing about.

The Gators on field conduct demonstrates a lack of respect for the game of football. They are one of the most penalized teams. As for the streak it will end soon! :hi:

I'm laughing about rival fans posing as UT fans. And as one poster said in this thread, your own team was in the Sugar Bowl and some of you jokers were on here babbling on about 8 game win streaks, justifying penalties, etc. instead of watching your team get curb stomped.

I'm laughing about so called UT fans getting bent out of shape over VANDY and making fun of other teams when UT is ONCE AGAIN sitting at home during the bowl season. UT fans need to look in the mirror before throwing stones. Back when I went to UT this would have been unthinkable. By the way, what year did you graduate from UT, sanddune?

Yes, UF looked ridiculous last night in every way, shape, & form...from the choice of uniform to the on-field conduct. I was glad to see them self-destruct over and over. However, what LSU, UF, or any other team does, doesn't make me feel any better about UT.

Didn't go to UT. Had a scholarship to go elsewhere but grew up in the area and probably have followed them longer and been to more home/away games than I'm guessing you have. I don't ever let slack jawed numnuts try and cheapen everything this university has accomplished in it's rich history. You trivialize it and try and act as if the university is an afterthought. You're the type of alumni that needs to leave and never come back. You're weak and pussified by your surroundings assuming what you say about being brought up here is true. Probably also explains why you bend over and take it at your current residence. If your a UT fan, I'm embarrassed that I cheer for the same team as you. I almost wish you would pick a Florida team and call it a day.

Would you like some whine with that? I'm not sure how many home and away games you've been to and I don't really care but I've been to my share (probably 125-150 games). Been to some great ones: '82 Bama, '84 Bama, '85 Auburn, '85 Vandy to win the SEC, '89 Auburn, '90 UF...you get the point. Not to mention the '99 Fiesta Bowl.

No one is trivializing what UT has accomplished over the course of it's history. However, if you look at what UT has done since that night in Tempe there isn't a whole lot to brag about. Neyland stadium has more empty seats for 1 game than I can recall TOTAL from when I went to UT from '90-'94.

History can only take you so far. The kids coming up today have no clue what it is like for UT to be elite as we knew them to be in the '90's. That's sad, and needs to change. PERIOD.

No, I'm not going to pick a Florida school to cheer for because I live in the state of FL. I went to UT and I'm a Vol.

Well my apologies. It seems anymore that even the fans have been brainwashed into talking down their school to rival fans as if it's a cool thing to do. Do I like the direction our program has gone the last 5 years? Absolutely not. I want change as well.

I mean we can go down the line of Fulmer going from one of the best recruiters in the nation to a mediocre recruiter.

Hamilton relieving Fulmer of his duties without having another coach in place.

Hamilton hiring a guy in Kiffin with no affiliation to the program or the region in general.

Hamilton bringing in a guy who had no coordinating experience and a losing record at a WAC school.

Cheek and Martin draining the AD from their revenues to support Cheek's failed project of being a top 25 research school(even though he receives government grant money for the same purpose from ORNL)

Some of this has been cleaned up. Hart apparently is not some glad handed yes man like Hamilton and is trying to create a structure that is similar to our rivals.

But as a fan, the only thing I can do is attend games and show that there is interest in the football program and not be some frontrunner like most of the people you will bump into on a daily basis.

Again, sorry for making an improper assessment of you, I'm just very defensive when it comes to kicking a team I've been behind since 1980.

Haha so let me get this straight-when an SEC team loses, it's because they didn't really want to play. But when we beat a team, it's because that team simply could not compete with our superior talent, speed, coaching, and tradition?
