I'm not going to start worrying about recruiting until the season plays out. You go and win the East, the recruiting will most certainly pick up. Easy to hit the panic button now because we've been spoiled in the past by early commits but have to just be patient for once. Look at what happened to Clemson last season, all of a sudden their already good recruiting has become great recruiting. We will have similar results if we can go and win 10 or 11 games. IF.

I am not going to worry about it. Too many other more pertinent things to worry about in my life. The thread questioned whether the lawsuit is affecting recruitment. I think it most certainly is, and that opposing coaches are using it. If a person(And I don't mean necessarily you) does not think so, then I have some great beach front property located in Nevada to sell. I'll even throw in some Enron Stock. :)

I suppose I do think that it is negatively affecting recruiting, but i also think that a 10 win regular season would go a long way towards evening things back out. Florida State certainly isn't hurting after the Winston rape stuff. However their administration was smart and settled that nonsense quickly, like ours needs to do.

I'll be surprised if we don't see at least one commitment this weekend at the O&W game. Hopefully that will ease some fears.

A lot of this will fade with time. The NCAA isn't going to do anything against UT due to the lawsuit, Butch won't get fired because of the lawsuit. Worse case if the plaintiffs win is that UT has to pay the girls, reform its system, and negative PR. Nothing a 10 win season won't fix.

I would bet that coaches are using the "police chief" calling CBJ on the rape charges to try and discredit CBJ and the program. It probably affects the parents more than the recruits.

In better news, two Georgia players arrested on something weapons related. One, was that really good defensive line reruit from last years class, Julian R___. Anybody else see that?
