You’re exactly right and that’s a testament to Heupel and his coaching ability. I know that ESPN wants to make their article sound like we were just dominated but there are a few major moments that defined this game. It wasn’t a 63-3 beat down.
I agree that a few plays change the game but I disagree about the plays and UGA actually does complete long passes, it’s just usually to the TEs. The 2 plays that really turned that game were where we missed the sack and Bennett ran for the TD and the ridiculously lucky punt that went out at the 1. That missed sack changed how we played D the rest of the game and that lucky bounce has been going our way pretty much all year but yesterday it went the other way. We’re good though. Let’s just take care of these last 3 games and see where the chips fall. Two long passes by Georgia, which they normally don't complete.
Two overthrown touchdown passes that Hooker normally makes.
It should have been a safety they took 10 minutes reviewing that crap and still look like idiots. All games are decided by just a hand-full of plays. You could argue that it would have been better for us to have been pinned in the end zone and had a safety so that we could get the free kick from the 20. After we punted from the end zone, they hit a 40 yard TD pass. So instead of giving up 2 and punting from the 20, we gave up 7.

Man we left plays out there that we normally make and I can't say it was anything Georgia did even though they played great. Hyatt is gonna walk in if he hits him in the 1st quarter. Ced got 2 overthrows & didn't even get a chance at another wide open TD down the right side. Even the commentators pointed out that he was about 5 yards open at least. I think we ended up overthrowing Bru on that play. Our defense gave up 3 points in the second half, offense just couldn't stop shooting themselves in the foot. If that was Georgia's A+ game I'd love to see them again in about 5-6 weeks on a neutral field.
The rain made Kirby conservative. It was never close. We're lucky it was a respectable score. You’re exactly right and that’s a testament to Heupel and his coaching ability. I’m not sure LSU even gets to the SECCG, they should win out but it’s not a cake walkWe still have a good chance at getting another crack at them, this time on a neutral field. Clemson and Bama losing was big. Lsu will need to lose in the sec championship and we gotta win out. I think TCU may even slip up against Texas next weekend, but even if they don’t I think we’re still good as long as we take care of business
Mehhh..it doesn't quite work like that. Georgia changed their gameplan to be ultra conservative and run clock in the 2nd half because they were up. Until that point we really hadn't stopped them much. There is no knowing how the game would have changed had we been able to score on offense.
