I would really like to believe that. I'm not knocking your post; however, in the real world the liberals really don't have any F's to give about violence against anyone. The city's in our country with liberals in charge are either not arresting violent criminals or they have a revolving door in the jail to ensure they wreak further havoc. It is a very sad but true deal.

The girl was THE SECOND UT fan that Burton put his hands on post game. He also pushed a male Vol fan on his walk back to the locker room. I don't know if the male got in Burton's way and got shoved but the female was trying to avoid Burton.

Maybe both UT fans called him the n**** word. That's the narrative some of the media was trying to push today. I doubt neither did.

If it was a VOL football player laying hands on an opposing fan, ESPN would have covered the story differently.

just feel that if it were any of what you guys are saying, we would be reporting how embarrassing it is that our fans kicked the crap out of a rival player. No way with the fan base around him as it were nobody else seen and there was nobody there to escalate it further.
No, he shouldn’t have touched her at all. But I don’t think it is anywhere you guys or the person that posted the video is near what you are acting. Our current culture of hurt feelings would have him banished if there were any merit to this.

FACT: Reverse the races and the football player would be in jail charged with attempted murder and Benjamin Crump woul have already filed a multi-million dollar lawsuit against the player and the university with ESPN broadcasting it’s outrage 24/7.

An assault is the act of inflicting physical harm or unwanted physical contact upon a person.

There is no simple hand to the face. He went out of his way to hit her. Period. He should be held accountable for his actions, even if it just means acknowledging and apologizing for the incident.

Let me try to explain for some of you slow learners. Little dickie has offered two excuses for his actions. #1, she should not have been on the field, I agree but that alone doesn’t give him the right to do what he did.#2, he was scared, what is the natural reaction of any animal or human who is scared of the situation they are in, all together now …….RUN!! Was he running in either video. No he was not, looked like he was on a leisurely stroll in the park. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt. If he was scared did he stop to knock a bee out of her hair. Maybe he was trying to high five her, she just didn’t raise her hand to do so, maybe he was getting some mustard off of her cheek. Maybe she had an eyelash and he wanted it to blow away and make a wish. Maybe he just wanted to see what her hair smelled like (like ole dementia joe). Maybe he was just saying “sup girl, let me get your number”. Some of you people need to wise up or don’t get out and get around other people. No need to raise your hands, but in your head answer this. If the player was a white UT player and the girl was a black bummer fan, how would this be different?

Alabama has always used the "handling it internal" method which implies the player will always play every game. Most other schools do the right thing for these situations, which typically is something external facing. This is an area where Alabama has always gotten special treatment from the media. If this were another school, the outcome would have been different.

As far as I can tell, there has been no apology to the young girl (along with the other person) that was hit - zero - none. That at a minimum should have happened regardless of the situation. Instead, we have grown men making excuses. They all think they are helping him - they are not. Making excuses implies what he did was acceptable when it should never be. It is reinforcement to him that his actions were okay.

My small, rural town of 8000 in West TN, 2 hours from both Nashville and Memphis, has the same problems with violent criminals and revolving door justice. For the record.

I guarantee if @ddubb76, or anyone else that thinks this is not a big deal, was walking down a sidewalk and stepped to the side for another person to pass and they still intentionally pushed/hit/touched him they would feel differently about this situation.

You’re the one able to do that, I do not know how, but the last shots of the video clearly show her turned back, with her hand on the back of her head, to see who had hit her. It is proof that she was hit, and he hit her when she wasn’t even looking at him, didn’t see it coming.
