The way I read the article he is not actually referring to physical appearance, but rather how well they would be able to interface with recruits and recruits families. Not a Franklin fan, but this makes sense to me.

I read it as if a coach does not have the "guts" to approach an attractive female, court her and convince her to marry him, then he can not recruit.

Yeah, I read something about this yesterday. I found it to be a tad bit disgusting...and by tad bit, I mean a whole lot. If someone was judging the attractiveness of my wife as a way to determine if I was fit for their job, I'd probably tell them to take their job and shove it. (Even though my wife is hot enough to pass that A-hole's test).

Franklin is right up there with Kiffin in terms of how bad I want a coach to fail. He's being given way too much credit for being the new "it" coach in sports media. Just an absolute tool.

Ive decided to go a different way on this. This is a case of the media twisting words again. I do not like franklin but i get what he is saying. He doesnt want to hire someone based soley on a resume, he wants to see what their personality is. You are only as good as those you surround yourself with. If you have a fat dumpy wife it probably reflects in how you coach. Its the same as if a coach prefers clean cut guys as opposed to dreds or whatever.

Obligatory franklin sucks, married to clay travis, vandy blows, GBO VFL!

the same skills are used to pick up women and 17yo boys? I'll have to trust JF on that one. This also sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen

They are his words and he will get sued over it IF he truly halds that as a standard for his hiring.

So now there are two games at the end of the year we need to score 70+ in. If T Bray is going to get 40 TDs this year, maybe 10 of them will be the last two weeks.
