You might be relieved OP, but I'm not. I want to beat teams because we can, not because they lose a good coach or athletes. I wanna stomp a puddle in a good Commodedoor team an sink their little ship in it. Then walk it dry, hoist that anchor an shove it up their porthole.

This is what I don't understand about this board ... The OP ask a relevant question about breaking news that one of our long time rivals is losing their head coach TODAY!

I don't post often and only have time to check the front page most of the time.

It would be nice for those who are interested in the OP's question to be able to discuss and not have to read through all the negative crap.

I prefer that Franklin stay and kick his team around to wipe that shine off his bald head, but whatever. If you listen to the Vandy fan reaction, it's humorous but predictable on the mass hysteria on West End. There are phrases like "turncoat" and "#cowardlylion" floating around; their fans who claimed this week that the Penn State job would be a "lateral move" for Franklin need a reality check and a "suck it up Tinkerbell" moment - we all get one occasionally.

I'm a UT alum & VFL but also follow the SEC and he's given them a great run, but the fanbase needs to be realistic and thank the guy for making Vandy relevant in football. I haven't heard that he called their EEs and suggested they not go to class or anything (#Kiffin #BringdownBama). :)

Big picture.
It shouldn't matter too much if UT goes back to where it should be. Instead of beating a door mat your beating a decent team. Either way UT should be winning the game going forward.

Short term.
Not much really. They may grab a recruit out of it and next year's game may be slightly easier but other than it shouldnt matter.

If anything Vandy does in regards to UT matters going forward, UT has the wrong coach.

They have Lost two commits in the past hr. One was 4 star RB Mikale Wilbon who announced it on twitter The other was 3 star OL Bailey Granier.

You must have really small private parts and try to compensate by typing crap like that and wishing ill on others. EVERY NCAA coach that leaves of his own choice has written checks that he has not cashed - just the nature of the game. Butch did it himself a couple of times already. Franklin is no better or worse in this respect than the rest of them. I understand the angst, but try to stay classy, my friend; VN is better than this.
