I’d have to include myself. Ive so often failed to live out my faith in a way that would always honor the name of Christ.

True of all of us, but do you make a living, maybe even a very handsome one, touting yourself as a role model Christian? Maybe even be judgmental of others? Claim to be a "leader"?

Everyone falls short. Thats the nature of humanity. The difference is whether you profit off it.

What's noteworthy to me isn't bad behavior by Falwell but that Christians in America apparently demand more of a private university president than the president of the country.
But it's not a Christian who started this thread pitching a fit about it.

I remember when libs would always say it’s no ones business what consenting adults do

Seems now that anyone believes that maxim to be true when it benefits them. Our president paid a porn star for sex and bragged about sexually assaulting women and was subsequently elected, with strong support from evangelicals. Maybe we should start holding our elected leaders to a standard at least equal to private university presidents.

Well, I think Trump and Falwell are symptoms of the same disease. Christians have a history of falling for charlatans who say the right things but don't do the right things. Falwell is but the latest in a long line of corrupt Christian leaders like Tony Alamo, Jim Bakker or Warren Jeffs.

I remember when Republicans were all about family values and gave lip service to the idea that elected officials should be held to those standards. (Although they've only ever actually applied those standards to liberals).

Lol. It’s funny watching the far left act like you all suddenly have values and morals

Is he an elected official? I’m glad to see you libs now have morals and ethics though I doubt it will last very long

Really poor judgment? Yes.

Evidence of being a "fraudulent Christian?" No.

There have been several allegations about self-dealing in his role at Liberty over the last year or two. If true, ripping off a Christian university founded by your father is probably more fraudulent than some stupid yacht pic. Its kind of crazy this is what got him in trouble.
