Freak's Friday before the Florida game, admittedly off topic thread

True story, I think I'm the only white guy I know that doesn't watch racing 🤣. My son in law is black, and he watches it, couldn't believe when I told him I didn't like it 🤣.
Lol that's funny. My mom and sister watch it but they are the only 2 I know. I watched it growing up when it was at its peak (packed in Bristol like sardines) and picked up again in 2020 when there wasn't any other sports. It's fun. But I hate the football overlap this time of year. Maybe I should just get another TV.

I mentioned in this thread last week about a possible transplant for my wife. We just had a zoom call with the team at USC Keck medical center, and it looks like she's going to be the world's first ever bladder transplant patient. There's some ground work to do, so it'll likely be a couple of months. I'm just mentioning, because we need folks who pray to be praying if you will.
Praying for your wife Joe!!!

To all those needing prayers you got ‘em. Hope Christ gives you peace to endure your sufferings. To the gentleman who got the black stone, I’m pulling the trigger any day now. Everyone I know that has one uses it regularly and it’s incredibly fun to cook with.

Tomorrow Joe will lead this team to ending another drought for us. One streak ending at a time and we will get back to where we want. He needs to back up what he said and go play. This team is due for a breakout. We have talent, sure some deficiencies to go with it, but we are light years above rock bottom with pruitt.

Getting about 7lbs of Coffee Peppered jerky on the smoker to prepare for tomorrow’s game. Then pulling out a little E.H. Taylor Single Barrell to sip.

We’re on an Amtrak from Seattle to Chicago with an ETA of 5pm CDT. Saturday. We’re running about an hour late so I’m expecting to get to the hotel by 6pm-ish.

Still deciding on whether to go deer hunt in the morning or go try to catch some Hybrid Stripers. Either way...I'll be home with a fridge full of Voodoo Ranger Juice Force or Imperial IPAs by 12:00 PM. After our Victory, I will get the steaks on the Akorn (Waffle House Hours is what I call it when I grill late at night.)
Those IPA’s will get you right! Love Voodoo Ranger.

Tonight.. Friday... there is a SpaceX launch here at the Cape scheduled for 11:38pm. I'm not going to bed until after that as it would wake me up anyway.

Tomorrow a couple of friends and I will be watching the Gata beat down at the Time Out in Cocoa...

GBO...

I work a full time job and also own a small horse ranch, so Saturdays are usually another working day. I have to work on my bush hog - wheel axle is broken, plot out and prep for some trees being installed on Monday, spray the fence line and edges, and measure out and guesstimate lumber for a hay loft. The good part is I can drink beer all day doing this kind of work and I should be right toasty come 6pm. Reading about all this food, might hit the Pig and throw something in the smoker.

Go Vols!!!

Joe - happy to hear you’re wife has this option. She, the family, and the medical team will be in our prayers.
