Why would Pinkel want to move to Florida, he is winning SEC East championships at MO. That would be a dumb move for him, imo.

The only way I could possibly see it happening is if it's completely true that he went into the NFL just to avoid dealing with the NCAA show cause and that he never wanted to leave college ball.

I will say that someone I trust heard him say something to that effect of those very words during his time at Lambuth. I know how stupid that sounds because of the Volnation tradition of "cool stories" though.

if you cant see why a coach would go from MO to florida, you are blind.

He wouldnt win SEC East championships in Florida? with that talent, more money, and the great weather. He'd be stupid to not take the job.

I don't see Freeze leaving. He is from Oxford,MS. I think FL has more underlying issues than just the HC as well. I think if the MI job opens that the search just got a lot harder for FL as well. That is going to leave 3 major programs with openings.

Obviously recruiting is easier in Gainesville, but I'm not sure what else you gain from going to Florida. Columbia is in a beautiful spot. I would choose it over Florida all day long and twice on Sunday. He's also 62 years old. Why would he want to start over again?

The next Florida coach will have difficulties. FSU dominates instate recruiting and has for a while.

They have done very well and are signing a great class now.

But if there is enough fall out over the Winston issue, the cover-ups for their two safeties in the hit and run, and some of the other shenanigans, don't be surprised if that environment changes very quickly. Particularly when Winston leaves, still under a cloud of suspicion for he and the university, and they regress rapidly.

Freeze would be a great get for UF and I would be all about that just to watch UF beat the **** out of FSU but I think he stays at Ole Miss.

It makes me all warm and fuzzy inside seeing Florida used to get all these coaches raises. Mainly because it's Florida and not Tennessee.

I hope it's Freeze to improve our chances of getting Richmond to flip and to keep the HC carousel turning in the SEC

I was born and raised in FL and am a 6th generation Floridian, I know all about it. And to answer your question, I'd likely take it over MS.
