He would have a great deal more pressure on him in Florida. I personally think that would be a stupid move.

If Stoops wants the job, I don't see how the other guys can angle this for a raise. Unless Chip Kelly commits to leaving the Eagles after their season and playoffs end (provided they'd hire him despite his past), I'd expect Stoops to be at the top of the list. If he wants the job, I don't see how any of this Freeze stuff happens.

I've said from the beginning that fla will be spurned by several of these big names. Then reality will set in, and you will start hearing names that are flying under the radar. When I first saw the list I immediately thought mcelwain, but then I heard the buyout was 7 mil. But then I heard on the radio that the buyout could possibly get done and it wasn't percieved as a problem. If that is the case I think mcelwain will be the new coach at fla after a few big names fall by the wayside. It's just hard for me to think that a program would be willing to risk that much on the front end just to sign a hc to see if he works out. if it's not him, I imagine it will be some other obscure name not even being mentioned at the moment. I feel like an expert at this coaching hiring business after what we've went thru the last few years.

Wait, you mean to tell me that Freeze had no interest in the UF job and just used it as leverage for a pay raise? Shocked. Shocked I tell you.

Football Scoop has an article that says Ole Miss has an agreement in place with Coach Freeze and he'll be staying at OM. Ole Miss will keep on winning then.

This makes me believe Dan Mullen will leave maybe to Nebraska or similar opening. With Hugh Freeze staying. Recruits in state of Mississippi will be predominantly his with exceptions of 3-5a year that Saban, Butch or Miles etc... that may want to go elsewhere. So I see Mullen as using this opportunity to cash in and leave. I just don't see sustained success at both Mississippi schools and assume Mullen has to be concerned about that too considering he is the weaker recruiter of him and Freeze.

I'm still inclined to believe it will be Bob Stoops.

However, the speculation is pure comedy. No one knows anything.

Is that more you hope it's Bob Stoops? Stoops would kill it at Florida. 99 you live in Philly? I just see you like the Phillies and Flyers, lived in that area for a while
