+1 on an app to track your calories and macros if that’s your thing. No way I could lose weight without it. I have weighed every day for over 7 months. Most are against it, but it has allowed me to learn my body. What adds water weight, what is real weight, etc. I have had morning where I was in a 600 calorie deficit the day prior, and gained a pound. I would panic/get frustrated. Now, that’s not a big deal to me. I trust my tracking and know when I should go up a few and when the scale should drop. Weird thing I’ve learned about my body...if I drink beer on a Saturday, I will go down in weight on Sunday, but jump up on Monday lol. My fitness pal is the app I use. It’s a pain for about a month. But once you have a history in there, it is easy to add stuff quickly. Secondly, a food scale will help you tremendously. Learn to weigh things. After a while you will know what a 4oz serving of steak, chicken, etc looks like. You will learn what 170 grams of Greek yogurt looks like. I still use mine every day at home, but knowing what it looks like helps me log things at restaurants. Start small. Stop getting pissed when you gain a few. Make it a lifestyle change. I have enjoyed trying to transform my body. I am no where near where I want to be thanks to surgeries setting me back, but I’ll get there. I think I was 230-235 in 2016. Thanks college. And now I am 164, going for 160. I haven’t felt this good in a while. Went from a 38 pants/XL shirt to a 30/medium.
