Friday weigh in thread (suns out guns out challenge 8/31/2025)

Well for breakfast I have one Jimmy Dean biscuit and then for lunch maybe half of a can of Raveolli and then nothing for supper. So that is about 340 calories and then my Frape' is 2% milk, one pack of Folgers decaf one pack of sweet and low and that is 120 and then decaf diet coke is 0 and I will give my glass of tea 100...so that is 560 calorie a day....and that will get the weight coming off :)

Whew, that's awfully restrictive! Make sure you're getting enough calories to protect your heart muscle, and some protein in there.

Sometimes I do eat a small supper, and that was just an example from today so it varies some, but I have not eaten out in about 3 weeks and I used to eat out a lot, and I walk at work about 40 hours a week too.

Oh yeah, eating out is a killer for me, and lack of exercise.

Whew, sorry to go mom on you (or big sister?) - don't want to have any Karen Carpenter-ing on us around here!

156.2

Been trying to just maintain and loosely track my diet for the past few weeks. Planning to get serious again for the next 4 weeks leading up to my birthday and holiday season. Would like to get to 150ish by 11/17.
I’ve taken a break from weighing myself for a while, a mental break, really. I’m trying to eat at maintenance, not following every calorie, but I know how to maintain pretty well.

I’ll probably go on a mini diet for a few weeks if I need to at the start of the new year, but for now, I’m just going to enjoy the upcoming holidays.

221. finally saw a specialist. he has me trying out a whole new diet, will probably see some weird fluctuations before I settle down.
224.8 this AM. but definitely out of my normal sequence for the mornings, so this definitely heavier than I would have been under normal circumstances. I just keep forgetting to weigh myself at a consistent time so my numbers are all over the place.

I've been hovering around 235 to 240 for the past 20 years, but started CrossFit in July and down by 15 pounds. Obviously muscle weighs more than fat, so clothes are falling off me now. I'm roughly 25 lbs. from my high school football weight when I had no fat!

I'm really enjoying CrossFit as it is a good mix of strength training and cardio. I like the fact I just show up and they have a exercise laid out so I don't have to think about it. Feels very good to throw some weights around again! I also like they have alternative exercises in case you need to adjust due to old age or fitness - of which both apply to me :)

and I forgot again to weigh in this AM. I just can't get on a schedule.

I've accidentally lost 2 pounds over the last week and a half or so, mostly from not having time to eat. Not a sustainable model going forward, but with the end of the semester approaching and ~5 weeks off before spring semester roars back, I'm motivated to get an organized and semi-disciplined program of diet and exercise going.

Classes for my major (Ecology and Environmental Biology) include a lot of off-campus labs involving scrambling up and down mountain trails. I kept up pretty well through the first 7-8 weeks but ran out of gas toward the end, before the weather drove us back indoors. Keeping up with 19-year-old Zoomers isn't easy for this Boomer! I plan to get in better cardiovascular and strength shape before I find myself back out on a mountain bald, gazing at (very) fresh bear scat. lol
