By the time you are 14 years old, let alone, 18, you need to learn how to accept and move on from disappointment in athletics. It's fundamental to being an athlete.

Dozens of other football teams have been similarly rejected from what they THOUGHT they should have been awarded over the years. But FSU's failure to cope was record setting.

They had massive opt-outs? Only adds to the case against them, IMO. These are not the athletes I want to see in the CFP.

You can say this all you want. But if you were in FSUs shoes, you would have felt the same way. Think about it. You buys your humo all year long to win. You do win at the highest level. You are undefeated and a conference champion. One of only TWO P5 champs. So you are thinking you get a shot at the playoffs where anything can happen.

Then the committee comes along and slaps you in the face and tells you what you worked all year for meant absolutely nothing. Yeah I am sure you would just be ready to roll hearing that huh?

They didn't play at the highest level. They played in the All Cupcake Conference. The SEC is the highest level.

Do you think FSU was 1 of the 4 best teams after conference championship weekend?

Don’t answer w/ more deserving. Don’t give me undefeated or Some answer about Auburn almost winning or some answer that includes “well if that’s the case Uga is one of the best.”

Just Yes or No. It’s that simple. And it is that simple.

Without all the opt outs GA probably doesn't curb stomp FSU as bad as they did. Opt outs have really screwed up a lot of the bowl games.

Don't be a dumbass. That is NOT the same team that competed all year. With all the holdouts, Hell it's not even the same team that beat Louisville a couple of weeks ago. Not to mention the fact that any motivation of playing this game is completely non existent! They deserved to be in the playoffs, period end of sentence!

As much as I hate to say it ... FSU was a shell of the team ... they were BEFORE the QB suffered his injury.
FSU was not the same team at the end of the year ... FSU ONLY managed 16 points against LOUISVILLE, Kentucky scored 38 the week before against Louisville.
I hate it for the FSU team. They had expectations. But alas, they did not belong ... they were not in the top 4 teams in the nation. REGARDLESS of their record or the fact that the won the ACC conference.
The idea was to get the best 4 teams in the CFP .... Personally, I think they botched it.
I think Georgia deserved to be one of the four teams. Now, I am thrilled to death that Georgia was NOT invited.
It happens. Opinions vary. Factors we use to evaluate strength of a team ... vary.
Next year when there are 12 teams, THERE WILL BE differences of opinion about who should be ranked 9 to 15.
Can we all just bury the hatchet ... or better yet ... let's turn our studious attention to the coaching carousel.
