Next year's recruits? Until their first game when they're declared busts.

No argument here. Our fanbase may overreact more than any other in the nation. The game thread had a lot of hate against Pig today and they don't seem to grasp that he's just a freshman with a lot of upside.

9 other QBs beat Kentucky this year

I never said Tyler Bray beat UK what a QB. I simply stated that all year people look for reasons to bash Bray even after he plays well. There were people trying to attack Bray after the Troy game just proving that our fan base is crazy and not in the good way.

I think it would benefit Bray to stay and work under someone else at OC and QB coach. Tyler needs to learn to manage the game better and to throw short passes with touch. He gets too many tipped at the line, imo. It also would probably help his confidence to stay another year. Most QBs would be benefited by using up their eligibility.

It's too bad Bray doesn't have the defense that Manning had. I'm not for sure, but I don't believe our offense put up 35 a game with manning.

No where near as many as people seem to believe. He was one of the best players on Fulmer's later teams and got battered by fans only to forgo being a top draft pick to stay with Phil and endure more hate from his teams fans. He now is arguably the top RB in the NFL and most of the people who bashed him are the same ones using him as a representative of Tennessee's prowess in the NFL.

Overall I can't understand why people have such a hard time wishing success for Bray, a Vol, no matter what his decision. Yes he's made mistakes but who hasn't in these last three years?

Great post and I agree. Bunch of weak ass posts by folks who don't know the first thing about the people they judge and bash, but, if these players they bash do make it in the league, these weak asses will be the first to scream "OH MY GOD VFL, VFL!!!! Bray mentioned Tennessee!!! on MNF! He's VFL!!!!! Fukcn Weak

Peyton didn't have to throw it as much because they had an OC that knew how to use running backs.

They also had a DC that knew the objective was to not let the other team score on every possession . I'm pretty sure that they had some pretty good running backs as well

Bray can't hang with the top SEC teams so how the hell is he gonna make it in the NFL where every team has top talent? He needs to stay another year.

How does he not hang? He's leading by the statistical numbers. W's is not the measure of an NFL ready QB. Just ask Greg McElroy.

Manning takes a lot of blame for never beating FL, however, it typically wasn't due to his performance. We lost
62-37 in 1995. We scored 29 points in 1996 and lost.

Some team's going to take him in the second round based on "potential", and they will be very sad when it turns out to be a wasted pick.

2nd round picks are too valuable to waste on projects. He is a 2nd day pick, not a first day pick. I see 4th round or later.

I'm not dissing Manning just stating that he had a defense that was at least average. If bray doesn't put up sic stats,we wouldn't have won any games this year. Most people who play sports realize, you can't be lights out every game.

in your opinion, who has the more "upside" in being a pro QB, Bray or Tebow? Tebow was drafted in the first round as a QB, with every NFL team knowing what skills he lacked coming into the draft. Most say Tebow lacks the mechanics to be a QB but has all the other qualities one would want in a QB (leadership, drive, etc.)...I don't know, but, wouldn't you consider Tebow being a "project"?

And He's RIGHT! I don't know and I don't care anymore--it's obvious that Bray and CDD's relationship was terrible. I do hope that Bray, CP, and Hunter ALL LEAVE!

CP won't be as good in the NFL as you guys think because the corners and especially the safeties are just as big as he is and every bit as fast. Hunter might not make it through training camp without getting broken in pieces, and Bray will whine and cry like a spoiled brat when the NFL coaches gripe at him like CDD...but they won't coddle him! Just send him home because they can't waste money on some guy who is a "...legend in his own mind."

I just hope all the O-Line stays. There is no 'I" in TEAM...and the sooner we get back to having a bunch of players who realize that fact in the key positions the better off we will be.

Sorry if some of you think this is being "negative", but I watched the tape of the SUGAR VOLS beating the crap out of the Miami Hurricanes this week with a bunch of no-name guys who played as a TEAM--and I want that kind of mentality back again. TEAMS win championships, not a bunch of guys like CP, Bray, and JH who just seem to care about pounding their chest for just catching a ball they should catch.

FLAME AWAY...:salute:

I AGREE with you about bray. Not JH and CP Justin hunter is the same size as A.J. Green and more athletic. Ad.CP can play ball like T.O. they will get bigger and fast in the league. Sorry bro a bunch of no name guys won't win the SEC please get out of the 90s it take top talent

Tyler Bray is among the best QBs we've ever see at UT. His handling of the offense is why we were in any of the games we played this year.

Bray, like Manning, should stay for his senior season. He has as much potential as any collegiate quarterback in the country but his body is too light. Another year in college to allow him time to grow into his frame and more time to mature mentally would benefit him greatly. This decision will be the biggest of his life. It could very well be the difference in him becoming Peyton Manning or Ryan Leaf.

Being brutally honest though, our jack wagon fan base may force a great athlete out the door early. Too many of you guys are just plain jerks.

Let's all step back and realize that we are just a week removed from our NFL-ready QB being benched...against Vandy.

Palardy should declare for the draft also - maybe some NFL team didnt do their scouting like Kiffin did and he will get lucky again
