yes, yes they do....but as bad as they were, that year had more to do with players not making plays.the staff deserves its share of the blame
i won't disagree with that, athletically, Ainge had it over him. but for some reason, the locker room, and one of the coaches who shall remain nameless :birgits_giggle:, really took to RC. it was a mess before it got started. Hindsight being what it is, EA should have just gotten it, stuck with it, and taken his lumps. credit RC with some gutsy performances though, just not good enough to make a difference in winning a game. Now you do have a point about the dropped balls and such (and don't even get me started on Chris Hannon). But still, no excuse for Ainge not to have put a miles worth of distance between himself and spaghetti armed RC.

If you picked the most disappointing year, 2005 was it. And the most disappointing player in any position, it had to be EA. He knew that.
I remember joking with friends about all those #10 jerseys hanging in the mall at half price that holiday season. While he never played up to his expectations, what Cut did with him psychologically was a miracle.
Most of us suppressed those 05 memories (coping mechanism), but not you Ras. Front and center... the whole time. Can't believe it ended with the pick 6 while you were on the 10 at the SECCG.
It's over, man! The O will have a whole new look in 2008.
i dont think this is entirely fair....in regards to clawson...i'd at least like to see them live and in person before i rush to judgement, and let's not forget, barring a total philosophical repent, the offense doesn't have to look all that much different to the naked eye to be more effective.Meh... we'll see. Different chef, similar ingredients. Clawson may be a new face, but we know he's not going to deviate too far from Fulmer/Cutcliffe's philosophy... else he wouldn't have gotten interviewed.
Cuttcliffe's idea of innovation was the no huddle last year. This year, we are running the West Coast offense. :ermm: Next thing you know, we may implement the flying wedge.

..........but many that spent the entire year wanting RS fired, say that now with the benefit of hindsight.
there's certainly reason to be just that....can't argue with you there.Fair enough... I'm just a cynic right now. I hope everything Clawson says shows up on the field.
wasn't implying otherwise.Indeed they do... but I'm not in that crowd. I never had a bloodlust for Sanders like many others did.
The only crawfishing I have done recently is becoming to greater appreciate Casey Clausen after seeing 4 years of Ainge.
