absolutely the worst article I have ever clicked on in these forums. Some people are so freggin stupid to actually believe this junk.. every job that comes up he lets the world know he would take it? WTF is this guy smokin? Only job he has even slightly expressed interest in was arky. And despite what ignorant people want to convince themselves of, I happen to know for a fact he has turned down multiple offers.

A hall of fame coach with a NC and multiple SECC, a proven track record of putting people in the NFL with successful careers. Use your brains just a little bit and you will see how badly misinformed this article is.

Wrong!

Besides the Arky position Phil has expressed interest and has interviewed for several other universities, Arky was just the last job he has expressed interest in.

Kansas newspaper reporting Phillip Fulmer wants KU job » GoVolsXtra

Arkansas will be looking for a coach to replace john smith, who is just interim. Will Phil apply for the job??

That is why he was elected to the Hall of Fame. Everything in your above post.

He was elected to the HOF because of his overall record.

Of course, it would be amazingly stupid not the recognize that after that national championship, the Vols slipped into mediocrity pretty fast and never were nationally relevant again. Why don't you University of Fulmer guys EVER respond to those FACTS. He is only a "legend" in the mind of a hayseed. Anyone just partially informed knows better

you are correct...Fulmer was born in '50...Saban '51....Miles '53.....but if you look at the three of them Fulmer looks much worse for wear

Spurrier was born in 45, he has them all beat. I'm not a Spurrier fan but as i've gotten older I have cooled down on my hate and despise for the man. You have to admit when he was at Florida, no one owned him, but he owned plenty of coaches including Phil who went 3-7 against him.

if fulmer had left kiffin more talent, lane might have stayed at UT instead of bolting for usc.

yeah, and if Fulmer had stayed one more year instead of getting canned mid season he would have gone undefeated and won another NC

10,000+ post and you might have sealed it as dumbest. Congrats.

Do you give him credit for any of the success? Did you say he spoke to your organization or company and that started your dislike towards him?

I just did give him credit. He was a really good HC at first. It quickly became obvious that he was never going to win by out-coaching or out-scheming anyone, his method was to out-talent you. Who cares how you win as long as you win.

But better recruiters hit the conference, he refused to adjust. He "stayed the course" to his own detriment. I was glad when Majors was fired and I was glad when Fulmer was fired.

I did hire him for a speaking engagement in the summer of 98. He's an arrogant prick that shortchanged us. That is immaterial to his ability to coach and run a program though.

I thought it might be relevant to the Krispy Kreme etc. etc. comments.
