Fulmers last four years .... we had a 9 and a 10 win season.
Current last 4 years .... loss after loss with no significant victory in sight.

.. Remember he only had less than 8 wins two years in the entire 16 years that he coached. Going into the 2008 season CPF was #1 in America in winning percentage for active coaches with at least 10 years experience in major college football.

Fulmer also was on an elite coaching list when his career record improved to 100 games over the .500 mark at the end of 2007. Only other coaches on that list were Bobby Bowden, Joe Paterno, Jim Tressel, Steve Spurrier, Chris Ault and Frank Beamer.

Nine Fulmer-coached teams have eclipsed the 10-win mark and two others just missed with nine victories.

These are statistics not just my opinion. Too many negative posters are just too young or too easily influenced by writers, more and more of whom are writing negative articles today. Don't get me wrong - I am 100% rooting for CBJ , but feel we owe tribute to previous VOL coaches and players who also did great things!!

Yep and you can give Fulmers credit for two 5 win seasons during his last 4 years.

Still going at it Gramps?

P.S. Hope all is well with you and yours.

Nah .... was pointing out some facts...not bashing Fulmer.... It is looking like he will help ETSU revive their program.
I am hoping he will coach but it is looking more like a fund raising and advisory capacity.

Fulmer=Landry

Fanbases took them for granted when they dominated and won the majority of their games.

Fanbases claimed the game "passed them by" when they had losing seasons.

Fanbases clamored for a replacement.

Fanbases thought the firings were done in a horrible way.

Nice job "fans".

Go Vols and CBJ.
