I'm not arguing that CSS was a spade, or that the jury is still out on him... to the contrary, Spurrier is proven.
The orange wall that surrounds my world of college football is just too thick.
After years of experiencing the agony of defeat against CSS, CPF finished by giving CSS an SEC loss in his last game as HFC at UF. That was somewhat worth the wait. CUM is not as difficult to figure out as CSS was, so I think the Chief and CPF will have something for him soon--this fall.
whoa now. I think the game has passed CPF by quite some time ago. However, losing to a very good UF team this fall wonamt be a big indicator. Many good teams will lose to UF, especially if their D has improved. If we lose to UF this fall, call the spade a spade and admit the game has passed Fulmer by.

hmmmmm....wonder why UF had no mentionable pogram prior to Spurrier. Not saying Spurrier isn't proven but in a great football state like Florida a decent coach can win games with in state talent. Spurrier at USCe has been less than spectacular, but he has not had a qb he can rely on so far. If he does not drastically improve at Carolina don't you think that diminishes his status somewhat?

How did this become so Florida series miopic?
The troubling factor, the thing hurting Phillip most with his critics, is his body of work vs. top ten opponents the past 5 years...
so utmba can continue to believe that Fulmer is a great coach even if we get torched again? What will it take for the few remaining Fulmer lovers to jump ship if another embarassing loss to Florida isn't it?
embarrassing losses is what it will take. I our D improves as we think it could, then we'll likely avoid the embarrassing style losses. Instead, we'll shift back toward CPF's norm of sitting on the lead to the point of Ls.so utmba can continue to believe that Fulmer is a great coach even if we get torched again? the truly sad thing is when guys like MBA start talking about a one point loss as though it was a W. If you check is posts in this debate he refers to that one point loss with a measure of pride. sad.
