No you haven't. In fact, all of you guys but Hat was civil today.

But if Hat didn't use personal atttacks, he'd probably have fewer posts than I have.

I can really understand his frustration. You don't slam Urban Meyer and exalt Phil Fulmer in the same breath.

I wouldn't put anything past Fulmer, regardless of how long Clawson's leash is. A 14 pt lead in the third against Florida could be ugly.

but we're talking about CPF. he did it with Manning at the helm.
I'm speaking out of turn of course, because we haven't seen this deal take the field yet... But these formations could break 30yd gains when all you were shooting for was 5....

will we line up in those formations with a 14 pt lead though? Or will we go conservative again? that is the ultimate question. Hopefully we'll find out against UCLA and UF.

One is currently the longest tenured HFC in the best football conference in the country. The other showed up three years ago, won an NC with somebody else's players, uses a QB as FB (and is praised as an offensive genius:crazy:), and was the lucky winner with the easy schedule annual lottery among the this-conference-is-not-a-real-BCS conference draw. There... I said it. Have a good day, gentlemen.:)

For what it is worth, as it pertains to my own sanity I have decided not to participate in any real Fulmer debate up to this point. I have heard and seen all possible arguments from all sides, and I have come to this conclusion. The 2008 football season cannot get here fast enough.

At one point the losses to Alabama and Florida put the nail in the coffin for me. It wasn't the losses themselves that did it. It was the manner in which each game was lost.

Then, Fulmer goes out and hires someone from outside the program to run his offense, and by all indications he has given the autonomy appropriate for the position. That was a step in the right direction that should have occured ten years ago.

I cannot lament the time passed because that is wasted time itself. Looking forward I will stick to my guns. 2008 is Fulmer's chance. Losses similar to Bama's and Florida's won't be tolerated. Contrary to popular opinion of the "negavols" I don't think that Thunder T, or any other prominent boosters have infinite patience either.

Installing a new offense will not be the excuse for losses. This is CPF's team. This is CPF's staff. If they don't pass the eyeball test against the heavy weights of the SEC there will be no further acceptable excuses.

From all appearances, there are only two or three base looks with Clawson. The magic happens after the snap... There is no old style to flip back to.

I'll believe that when I see it. But Im with you, the season cant get here fast enough.

If he hasn't things aren't going to get any better. I think you tend to underestimate the pressure CPF actually felt last year. That has not gone away.

great post lex, my only thing to it is that with this new offensive staff, TCHFCATUTK has bought himself two more years, minimum. Obviously a 5-6 season would change that, but I really don't think a 7 win season would get Fulmer ousted this year.

I read your last article and there seemed to be some excitement there

I think we have found a group of playmakers that can compete with anyone, but we still have several holes left to fill.

I really like Dave Clawson...or the idea of Dave Clawson.
