Fulmer Picking Up Steam/Schools looking at Fulmer?(merged)

That list makes Kiffin look like an excellent judge of talent. Most have washed out of football. A hand full are playing for programs like UTC, LA Tech, and Texas Tech. Hardly a glowing endorsement for Fulmer’s ability to evaluate and recruit talent.

.

Yeah, and Cutcliffe can't evaluate QBs, Tuberville can't evaluate defensive players, Saban can't evaluate linebackers, Meyer and Richt and Saban can't evaluate running backs, Kiffin can't evaluate wide receivers, Orgeron can't evaluate linemen, & Michigan and Nebraska have a lousy history evaluating lineman, because those were the coaches and programs going after those recruits.

Yep. Chris Donald left UT because of Kiffin. Had nothing to do with him being unable to play.

Golly gee, here I thought part of a coach's job was to try to develop talent; plenty of kids only hit their stride very late in the tenures. But that was the Kiffin way of "developing" players -- to lose them off the roster entirely.

Fulmer won 9 or more 3 times in his last 5 years; let me know when that happens again at UT, since you claim it so easy to achieve that achieving it means nothing...

Achieving 9 wins in a season means nothing; unless you are Vandy, USCjr, KY, Miss St, etc.

Oh my gosh, how will those coaches ever compete without the players they lost to Fulmer. Funny that only 1 of the players listed made it back to any of the coaches you listed as having an interest.

Also funny that all of the coaches listed are still coaching while Fulmer cannot find a coaching job.

sadly, when Tennessee eventually gets back to wnning 9 games, we the fans wil be estatic

because after 4-5 years of 5, 6, and 7 year wins..9 will be seen as an achievment

Please. Where's Donald playing these days? He can't play. He was massively overrated.

Ask the players on our roster who've been with both coaches who develops players and who doesn't.

If he runs 'em off he doesn't have to develop them
He's a worthless POS

For real. It's not as if Chris Scott and Ramon Foster were worthless wastes of space in 2008. What happened after that? Foster used up all his eligibility and went undrafted. Then went on to start for the Steelers. Scott had another year, became our best offensive lineman, and got drafted.

But I'm sure that's no reflection on the pathetic level of OL coaching we had under Adkins.

Foolishly wrong, but that's par.

And just a friendly piece of advice: y'all look more and more foolish after every game. Just trying to help. :hi:

We'd be looking so much more foolish if Ahmad Paige and Lennon Creer were keeping benches warm in Knoxville.

I guess that is an advantage you have over us. You have spent months making yourself look foolish to the point you cannot look more foolish.

I don't know if he would be a good fit up there from a culture stand point. But I would be happy to see him coach again although it would be wired to see him in gopher colors lol. I hope that he will back in the tennessee family & be our next AD. That's just my opinion

I think he would be a good hire for Minnesota. Expectations are not very high so it would give him time to build what Brewster could not.
I remember some people on here wanting Brewster as head coach before Kiffin was hired. Glad we never saw that happen.

Yeah sad part was a major booster wanted Brewster. they are buds.

how old is fulmer? a little late in life to take on a major rebuilding task. who knows maybe thats what he wants, if so more power to him.
