Fulmer to Ark?

I heard its basically down to phil or an interem coach.. hope phil takes it and wins the west, just to show all the dumbasses around here how stupid they actually are for discounting his ability.

Agree... Sadly most of them will still run their gums about him even if he does come in and have a great run with the Hogs

I can envision a deal where Fulmer comes on as an interim unless he wins 9+ games, then he gets a long term deal. Seems reasonable.

If they get the 1990's version they will, if they get the 2000's version they will wish they had never hired him.

Agree....I expect he will roll up his sleeves and work like heck, watch film and pound the rock. Would work out for them I think for a little while.

Not sure Arky will agree to his buy out terms.

Arkansas: Last Wednesday we told you that two informed sources told us that Garrick McGee would be the new head coach at Arkansas. Today, we received further confirmation of those reports. Both sources we heard from today tell us to look for McGee to be announced no later than Monday (reminder both teams have their Spring games this Saturday).

Arkansas: There are reports out there that Jeff Long has spoken with Phillip Fulmer about the head coaching position. We'll keep you posted. Update> Sources close to the program tell us this will not happen.

so probably not

"I have not been contacted by Arkansas," Fulmer said. "But I think Arkansas is a great place."

But it was Fulmer's next statement that left the door open, should the Razorbacks decide to officially contact the former Tennessee head coach.

"When I left Tennessee, I was asked if I would coach again, and I said I would consider it if it was at a place where I could compete for a championship," Fulmer said. "Arkansas does qualify as that kind of place, as there is a very solid foundation there."

Has nothing to do with his ability for the reason he not here.

Urban still isn't in contact with Ohio State either.
