Fulmer to Ark?

This site is infested with peevish, iognorant little people that have never accomplished a thing. If the best UT coach of modern times has to go to Arkansas to be a coach, I wish him the best. I appreciate all he has done and is doing for our university. I am sure he would like vindication and he deserves it except when he plays us.

Good Luck Phil.

Bolded part is extremely ironic, and if you have a problem with people on this site than just leave. I think this site would be just fine without people that are not intelligent enough to realize that there is a reason that nobody has wanted to hire him. This whole thread is irrelevant, because the only way Arkansas would give Fulmer the job is if he agreed to take it for only this year so that they could wait until next offseason to find a permanent replacement.

===============================

Fulmer is 10-5-1 vs. Alabama.

That's all Arkansas needs to know.

But I think Phil sees himself coaching either UT or Notre Dame in 2013. [Kelly was a super dumb hire in S. Bend and the Irish brass know it.]

Give me his career record against Nick Saban.

That's more important.

The fact that Fulmer has virtually begged for jobs, and still doesn't have one is the absolute best indicator of his reputation as a head coach. If I was him, I would be wanting a few more million too. Especially now that the UT gravy train is running dry.

Give me any SEC coaches record against Saban. Thanks.

That wasn't the point and you know it. He was getting at the fact that fulmers record vs any coach that is worth a damn is far from impressive:
(Wins-Losses)
Spurrier: 4-9
Meyer: 0-4
JoePa: 0-2
Howard Schnellenberger: 1-0
Terry Donahue: 0-1
Frank Beamer: 1-0
Tom Osborne: 0-1
Bobby Bowden: 1-0
Frank Solich: 0-1
Saban: 1-4
Bill Snyder: 0-1
Mark Richt: 3-5
Lloyd Carr: 1-0
Ralph Friedgen: 0-1
Les Miles: 1-2
Jeff Tedford: 1-1

Winning Percentage: 31.25% (+ or - 5% because it is 3 am and I might have missed a game here or there going through schedules real quick). I'd expect any good coach to be around fifty percent in games like this, and a great coach to be greater than 50%. The stats look even worse when you look at the fact that many of Fulmers wins against these coaches came in their first year or two while Fulmer had been here for awhile.

Good work. That's enlightening. :cray:

Another way to look at it is by opponent, and it's pretty clear that Tennessee had sucess against every other team it played while Fulmer was the coach....
He only had a losing record against 2 SEC schools....

Florida 5-12
Auburn 3-4

"Give me his record against Nick Saban. Thats more important".

I can see how you felt that that was subtlety asking for his record against every SEC coach in the league. Not really, but in your imaginary world I'm going to just agree.

How good were those Alabama teams he was beating?

Haha, the lengths you idiots will go to defend him. Those records are against the Ron Zook's of the world, last time I checked there are not many of those type of coaches left in the SEC.

No, anybody with half a brain could realize that he was getting at the fact that Fulmer couldn't win against the big coaches. And I love how when the facts disagree with your love for Fulmer it is a fantasy world :post-4-1090547912:

What TN coach has won against big coaches in the last 60 years? Let's face it, time is passing TN by like ND.

I see your point, I was just getting at the fact that even if that is the case it doesn't mean that we should be content with it.

You completley missed the point.

Wise (who's name is deceiving) said Fulmer was 10-5-2 against Bama. Well, who the **** cares? That was a long time ago. Against Saban, his record is more important, because that who the coach is. Not Shula or Franchione.

And my point was simple too. Look at any sec coaches record against Alabama before and after Saban. What he's done there is amazing and anyone, even those of us that hate Alabama, can't deny that. He's had unbelievable success there.
