Fulmer to ETSU?

A bad short run and an unforgiving fanbase.

Please, if anything they were too forgiving after he took a preseason #4 team in 2002 to 8-5 and a preseason #3 team in 2005 to 5-6. We would be a much better program today if the plug had been pulled in '05 instead of waiting for another debacle in '08.

NC 152-52 is a lot of Pixie dust. Perhaps he is a great coach who never got the respect he deserved.

Fulmer got enough respect to be elected to the HOF, but he doesn't really qualify as a great coach based on his last ten years. PF had a great run in the 1990s, but his last ten years (85-41) didn't even produce an average winning percentage that was equal to U.T.'s all time average at the end of his last season. So, if one wants to believe he was great based on a NC, so be it, but his body of work for an entire (last) decade (85-41), not a short period of time, indicates otherwise. Contrast that 85-41 decade with the 152-52 to see how great that period in the nineties was and how ordinary the last decade was. Maybe one could describe him as an above average coach, though even that would be, and has been, highly debated, as evidenced on VN.

He simply wasn't as good a coach as many prop him up to be. If anything, the fan base (or at least the university) were too forgiving of him. If he were in the SEC right now, I'm not sure he would be in the Top 4.

probably never been to Donelson then

I have been on Donelson Pike.
We used to pull our camper down to Seven Points and Cages Bend a few times per year and roam around Nashville . We really like that area.

I will have to try Shipley's next time I am in the Nashville area.

Camped at Seven Points a few times myself.

Take Donelson Pk all the way til it ends at Lebanon Rd. Turn left. Once over the bridge that crosses the railroad tracks (Donelson Plaza shopping center is on the right) Shipleys will be on your right in a small strip mall right before First Baptist Church of Donelson.

Thanks for the directions. I will check them out.

Come on SJ. Cut and paste the 152 all you want.

You are a piece of S**t! I'll bet you are fat just like 75% of the country.

Not a single poster on this board can hold Fulmer's jock! He is great and you suck A$$!! Your life is a joke!

You feel good about yourself yet?

And I bet you've got a yeast infection so thick your panties produce a basket full of O'Charley's rolls!

Gene Chizik has one of those too. Fulmer did well in the beginning but when was:

Last BCS bowl? Last SEC championship?

Was mentioned by the Dean that playing at Science Hill's field would be an option till a new stadium is built on campus to lure back alums.

Hmmm

Krispy Kreme, lazy, doughboy etc. That is my definition. You surely agree with me on that?

It is great that Coach Butch Jones is embracing one of our corporate sponsors, as did Coach Fulmer, Krispy Kreme.

Coach Jones is using Krispy Kreme as a recruiting tool. One of the highly recruited recruits, Vonn Bell said in an interview that Coach Jones and the entire defensive staff did an in home visit and showed up with Krispy Kreme.
He and his family was very impressed. It was a great visit. It is looking like Bell will sign with TN.

You guys need to stop looking at any Krispy Kreme reference as a negative.
It is part of the TN tradition, thanks in a large part to Coach Fulmer.

one could also say that about the negative perception of the program by the behavior of the fans
