Fulmers still in Denial

Quite frankly I was beginning (& still have) to question(s) if Fulmer was intelligent enough to swing the ship around.

Directing a six year free fall directly into the ground, w/o one adjustment is still difficult for me to understand.

If indeed Fulmer CAN coach, this is the year he better prove it....

Quite frankly I think that's going a little too far. I think you could make this argument if he'd only had 1 or 2 good years and then tanked, but that's clearly not the case. I can see wondering about his adaptability to change, but not his intelligence. :twocents:

You're right. Everyone should be proud of the fact this program hasn't won an SEC championship since '98. A 5 win season is to be celebrated. A loss to Vanderbilt is a badge of honor. A loss to South Carolina is a great learning experience. I can't for the life of me figure out why Vol fans are unhappy. Our head coach has the same number of SEC championships in the 21st century as Bobby Johnson, Rich Brooks, and Ed Orgeron. Everything is just fine.

Other than my comments to U-T, which were in direct response to his posts, please direct me to any insults contained in my posts. If you consider any of my posts in this thread offensive, you're obviously not much on vigorous debate. Would it make you happy if everyone just agreed and sang campfire songs?

i have to agree with hatevol on this one. mut maybe the most offensive person on this board. i don't agree with alot of people, but i respect there opinions. he would rather insult them instead of respecting there opinions. the way i see it we are all vol fans and i can't see why mut can't figure that out. i'm not a fulmer lover and i've stated my reasons why some of you are and you stated your reasons why i respect those opinions. hopefully we come out and win the sec, but i just don't see it happening. i love to go watch the vols play, but football has been boring for 4-5 years and i blame fulmer for that, much like i blamed buzz last year. football is the only ut sport i'm not optomistic about, hopefully i'm wrong. I think this particular comment fits into the offensive category. I agree completely that Buzz needed to be fired but I don't think his shortcomings (nor U-T's) have anything to do with the Bible or are related to their faith. I know the board isn't set up as a Christian community but "bible thumping rubes" is an offensive stereotype. I have seen you get upset and challenge others over perceived racial stereotypes and I think most of us would ask the same consideration. I appreciate your passion for UT athletics and your impressive knowledge, but comments like this particular one are not helpful.
