Funny Pics thread II

1994, Joe Diffie comin' out my radio
I'm just a country boy with a farmer's tan
So help me girl I'll be your Pick-Up Man
How 'bout a night to remember and a fifth of Goose
'Bout to bust out my honky-tonk attitude
A little feel good you ain't never felt before
I'm talkin' 1994
Hey Joe, Joe, Joe Diffie
Joe, Joe, Joe Diffie
Joe, Joe, Joe Diffie

You can set my truck on fire, roll it down a hill
But I still wouldn't trade it for a Coupe DeVille
It's got an eight foot bed that never has to be made
You know if it weren't for trucks we wouldn't have tailgates
I literally had that song in my head at work today

If the devil danced in empty pockets, he'd have a ball in mine
With a nine foot grand, a ten piece band and a twelve girl chorus line
I'd raise some loot in a three piece suit, give 'em one dance for a dime
If the devil danced in empty pockets, he'd have a ball in mine

I'd raise some loot in a three piece suit, give 'em one dance for a dime
If the devil danced in empty pockets, he'd have a ball in mine
Prop me up beside the jukebox when I die, Lord I wanna go to heaven but I don't wanna go tonight.

Home was a swimmin hole
And a fishing pole
And the feel of a muddy road between my toes
Home was a back porch swing where I would sit
And mom would sing Amazing Grace
While she hung out the clothes
Home was an easy chair with my daddy there
And the smell of Sunday supper on the stove
My footsteps carry me away, but in my mind I’m always going home...

If Heaven ain't a lot like Dixie
I don't wanna go
If Heaven ain't a lot like Dixie
I'd just as soon stay home

If they don't have a Grand Ole Opry
Like they do in Tennessee
Just send me to Hell or New York City
It would be about the same to me

When did this thread become the poetry corner?
He sang a song that had your favorite overrated band in the title....

He plays guitar at a hotel bar
For out-of-towners and businessmen
He struts and sings to his drum machine
But he won't make it big at the Holiday Inn
But she thinks that he looks like Elvis
When he runs his fingers through that jet-black hair
And sometimes she forgets an order
'Cause she's so struck by him and stops and stares
They got a love bigger than the Beatles
Wild and free like a Rollin' Stone
They got a love takes 'em higher than the Eagles
Ain't life such a sweet, sweet song
Na, na, na, na, na
Na, na, na, na, na
Na, na, na, yeah, yeah, yeah

I'm gonna live where the green grass grows
Watch my corn pop up in rows
Every night be tucked in close to you
Raise our kids where the good Lord's blessed
Point our rockin' chairs towards the West
And plant our dreams where the peaceful river flows
Where the green grass grows
