'20 GA ATH Arik Gilbert (LSU commit)

I’m not sure if it was peer reviewed or not but it may have been. It was headlining reports for a day or two. I’ll check it out and post the sources but I doubt you will agree with its conclusions regardless if it is peer reviewed or not.

Lol: sources I located after about 10 seconds of searching. All with reports on the dangerous effects of Marijuana.

1-CDC

2- National Institute on Drug Abuse

3-Nature.Com

4-American Psychological Association

There are no “dangerous” side effects to marijuana, at least I haven’t experienced any in the last 40 years. Please don’t ever cite anything as fact coming from the CDC.

Oh yeah, You have more credibility than the CDC. The biggest concern cited for long-term effects of Marijuana is the damage to the brain. I see that you are a perfect example of this in your failure to comprehend those studies.

This is true for people under 25, because the brain isn't fully developed until that age. Heavy users under that age sometimes don't develop the emotional side of their brains properly. If you are over 25 then you are fine to smoke weed. Heavy use of anything at any age is bad though.

Started smoking in HS. Graduated HS with a 3.1
smoked more in college and finished UT with a 3.75 in Supply Chain Management/Logistics.

It does nothing to the brain. You’re an absolute idiot (I’m talking the dumbest of the dumb) if you think weed hurts you

I consider myself more of a libertarian conservative on the marijuana issue. Especially if the choices are marijuana or opiates. I have a friend who's life has just been turned upside down by opiates. I wished he had just gone to weed, but the doctors put him on opiates. His wife finally divorced him, he never sees his kids, he is in and out of jail for petty theft charges trying to get money for heroin because it is cheaper than pills. If marijuana keeps you off of that **** then you smoke on brother.

I am a conservative libertarian myself. You cannot regulate morality or habits. It just doesn't work. The war on drugs does nothing but make gangsters and cartels rich and fill our prisons with drug offenders. The war on drugs is, and always will be a complete failure.

That is incorrect from what I read. It can reduce brain function at any age not just the developmental age.

Sounds like you have achieved certain benchmarks that are admirable. However what could you have done without marijuana usage?
It does something to brain function according to the reputable sources I have recently read. You are pro-Marijuana and just trying to justify your position. The evidence indicates otherwise.

Google is your evidence and that’s even more laughable.

I’ve smoked non-stop since 16 (now in my 30’s) I feel better than most. Living and breathing proof is more reliable then some nerd that had never tried it.

Interesting. I was just reading a study that talked about how adolescent use increased risk for a number of behaviors later in life, among them being increased future use and aggressive and delinquent behaviors. Seems oddly applicable.

I'm not anti-weed, but there are a bunch of "absolute idiots" with PhDs who would disagree with you.

lol I bet none of them have actually tried it. Again, living and breathing proof vs. some nerds that never used it.

Do you drink? Legit question

Oh I tried pot and other things a few times in my youth. A very low percentage of people have not so that shows your naivety right there.

In moderation. Various forms of cannabis as well. Which is completely irrelevant to the point. Also irrelevant is your perception that it hasn't affected you, therefore it has no affect on the general population. You don't really know if has affected you, you don't know what you might have been, only what you are.

If you're cool with it, then be cool. The aggressive defence isn't a good look.

Gp read some peer-reviewed work. The government studies form 30 years ago are outdated. A website isn't a proper source.
Those peer-reviewed studies can also be found by googling. Do your self a favor and look at them with an open mind instead of dismissing them because of your pro-Marijuana position.

Then what you do is worse than what I do. Like you said, if you’re cool with it, then be cool

You’re dismissing what we are saying because you’re looking at research made by those that have never tried it.
