'17 GA ATH DeAngelo Gibbs

Higgin commits to Clemson, decommits and signs with Tennessee

Gibbs commits to UGA, decommits and signs with Tennessee

Butch beats the 5 foot 7 inch Saban and sends him to the unemployment line

Dooley back to UT to VOLuntarily give us back all of his buyout money.

I like this version better.

If this reed guy is so important why we just now hearing about him? He existed before today. Uga homers selling subscriptions. You don't think big time kids understand their power to help family and friends get better opportunities? This could have been Gibbs getting reed a school promotion. Gibbs will make his own decision and UGA would be silly to count us out with relationship Butch has had with Gibbs for a long time

UT was trying to get Reed as well. Butch wanted the kid.

What if getting Reed is a last ditch effort?

Just an opinion here

I'm sure it's not outside the realm of possibility. Do you think Stevens and Gibbs would go to the same school? Seems like they are similar players that would be battling for the same position.

To add to your credence, it isn't the crying emoji on the tweet, it is the sad one. Anyone who actually looks at it, see it, it is the sad one. Look below and you will see someone using the crying one lol.

As far as the other, I feel ya. Just to share a quick story, I had to run by my church during the week a few months ago. A young lady was sitting by the front door crying and looking lost. I asked if there was anything I could do, her reply, was, well, I'm here. She explained that she had went as far as life would take her. The church is on a slight hill with railroad tracks at the bottom of that hill, she had been sitting on the railroad tracks waiting on the next train to end her life. She said she looked up and saw our cross steeple and something told her to walk to the cross. Long story and not to bore you guys or to get this deleted, but she got the help that day she needed both spiritually and physically. She is doing great now, quit drugs, and is with her family and kids. All that to say, keep doing what you are doing, helping others.

Praise the Lord..that is what it is all about.

That would be plausible if Tn wasn't trying to do the same thing. Apparently, Gibbs goes to Dallas every year to spend the summer with the Reed family. He was there again two weeks ago. This is a great article showing the character of Gibbs including him saving a kids life.

Meet DeAngelo Gibbs: College Football Recruiting's Next Big Thing | Bleacher Report

Around five years ago, DeAngelo’s parents started an annual tradition by sending him to Dallas for the summer to stay with his uncle Jake, who spent the majority of his 12-year NFL career with the Vikings as part of a dynamic receiving trio with Cris Carter and Randy Moss.

“As he got older and started coming down here (Dallas) every summer and he started working with me, you could see the football side of him come out more,” Reed said. “We didn’t do basketball because I’m a football guy and we’re a football family. You could start to see his talent come out more when he was with us.”

Jake—who still refers to DeAngelo as “Papa,” a name which he gave him when he was very young—would take him and his son, J.R., through a series of daily workouts led by trainers and former NFL players Omar Stoutmire, George Adams and Clay Mack. These workouts also featured some of the top prep players in Texas, such as Adams’ son—current LSU safety and former 5-star recruit Jamal Adams—and J.R., who enrolled at Tulsa.

More from P Fort

This is true. Reed went to high school in Dallas.

Again, not saying Reed and Gibbs aren't close or that their families aren't close, but I don't want to overplay it, either.

It certainly helps UGA in their pursuit, but they've been playing catchup IMO. Now, I don't expect Gibbs to do anything soon, so who knows what happens down the road, but as of now, I think the Vols are in a good spot.

Tweet from Nigel Warrior
"My cousin going to ......... So that mean the other one .....::: 😳"

Ok just to clear this emoji business up. That is clearly not a crying or a sad emoji. It's actual name is "flushed emoji," but I've always considered it to be a look expressing shock or embarrassment. Either way, I agree that Nigel is just messing with the people who are drawing conclusions about where Gibbs is going.

More from P Fort

When it comes to recruits that TN is pursuing heavily, always believe the words coming from Hubbs and PFort. They always keep it very real, and have a great pulse on things. If Reed going to Georgia was a game changer, then they would have started changing their tune some, in order to start preparing Vol fans to lose Gibbs to UGA.

It's been 3.5 years since the one who tried to destroy our program was fired...get over the battered fan syndrome! Butch Jones, Bob Welton, and the staff have proven to be elite in talent evaluation and elite with relationships and recruiting. Only one more piece of the puzzle left...that falls into place this season. Stop worrying about recruiting! Butch has this!

Isn't it awesome when we make ourselves available to be used by Christ?
