'17 GA ATH DeAngelo Gibbs

Seriously? You wouldn't want to be compared to one of the greatest men in history? Webster refers to him as the greatest mind that America has ever produced. He was on of the leaders, along with George Whitefield of the great Awakening, preached the famous sermon "sinners in the hands of an angry God", and was president for a short time of Princeton. Dude...

Ha. Never expected my metaphor to get to this level (kinda thought he'd know Edwards) but I was just going for a cheap joke bc he's a preacher and he is apparently just doom and gloom in this forum. Kind of a fire and brimstone look at our recruiting, if you will.

Well at least I had the right Jonathan Edwards. :)

When I looked him up I was like..duh. Yes I know him. Noch is being sarcastic. I'm no great anything, and have never put myself up as such.

Once again let me explain, this is just me being a kid for a few minutes. I help with chronically ill people, folks who have lost loved ones, folks whose families are destroyed, folks who have loved ones trapped in the chains of addiction, folks who are trapped in addiction...etc. I come here to not be serious and kid around and have silly arguments about a silly game that is in the grand scheme of my life..absolutely unimportant. I hope you understand that. This an escape from the never yielding pressures of real life.

Now I have to google Jonathan Edwards to see if I want to punch you in the mouth, or agree with you. :)

Dude, if you are a preacher man, you got to know who that is. Sinner's in the hands of an angry God. You could preach it well after reading a bunch of bad recruiting news.:hi:

Edit or graphic design.........JV late to the party :thud:

I have read several of Edwards sermons. It just came out of left field and caught me off guard.

No problem..I just don't want to really offend anybody. If I'm ever really serious on VN, it is about something that is serious. Real life problems, not sports.

To add to your credence, it isn't the crying emoji on the tweet, it is the sad one. Anyone who actually looks at it, see it, it is the sad one. Look below and you will see someone using the crying one lol.

As far as the other, I feel ya. Just to share a quick story, I had to run by my church during the week a few months ago. A young lady was sitting by the front door crying and looking lost. I asked if there was anything I could do, her reply, was, well, I'm here. She explained that she had went as far as life would take her. The church is on a slight hill with railroad tracks at the bottom of that hill, she had been sitting on the railroad tracks waiting on the next train to end her life. She said she looked up and saw our cross steeple and something told her to walk to the cross. Long story and not to bore you guys or to get this deleted, but she got the help that day she needed both spiritually and physically. She is doing great now, quit drugs, and is with her family and kids. All that to say, keep doing what you are doing, helping others.

I thought the tweet was poking fun at those of us thinking the sky is falling because Reed chose UGA instead of TN therefore Gibbs must be a dawg. And maybe a little fun at GA sites being so certain that's what it takes to get Gibbs. But who knows?

Doubt anyone knows until February but definitely a curve in the road that was thought to be a straightaway.
