'17 GA ATH DeAngelo Gibbs

Gibbs helped his cousin get on with UGA...who has a much more appealing depth chart in 2017 for a safety. He would be battling out Kelly, Berry, Gaulden, Warrior, Griffin, and others at UT. He has already used some of his eligibility, so you can't blame him for going somewhere that affords him a better chance to get on the field.

Hmmm...so Georgia has no depth at safety? Seems they pull in a 5 and 4 star every year. How's Rico McGraw doing?

Wasn't sure so I looked. They have signed or currently have committed around 5 S's and 7 CBs since 2015. Not sure if any CBs are playing S, but they did get some bigger corners. 6'2-200 types. Mixture of 3-4* with a 5* or 2. Not sure who is still there or been arrested. Depth wise at least on paper they look alright.

I like your poor attempt at sarcasm. By the way, McGraw seems to be doing well after getting moved to CB in the Spring.

It was classic sarcasm...but tinged with truth! Check their classes out each year...where do those high rated DBs go?...Louisville and Auburn? (HIGH QUALITY hand crafted sarcasm there :yess:)

Maybe he wanted more choices? Maybe he didn't like UT? Maybe he saw more opportunity for playing time? Maybe is a powerful word. If you try hard enough you can make it fit any argument you want to make.

Prolly get diabetes and die. And then Butch won't honor their scholarship.

Sounds like you are saying, "I have an agenda here, and all contrary evidence be damned."

If we had a commitment, the narrative would be "how can we hope to keep him? Unlikely IMO JMO FWIW JMO JMO IMO and IMO ASVAB DELTA VIRGIN AIRLINES"

I actually welcome strong evidence, especially if it's about something I don't wanna see happen. Like losing out on Gibbs. Unfortunately I'm not there yet in this case.

The evidence you're presenting that Gibbs is headed elsewhere is far, far weaker. Yet you believe it with all your heart. You'll have to excuse me if I believe OV and GFW over your pessimistic interpretation of a single event.

I just read the quotes from Gibbs in the article. Yeah, i'll probably lean that way vs 2nd or 3rd hand info. Make no mistake about it. I want Gibbs in TN Orange. From what I read, not feeling great about it.

You never feel great about anything! What is new here?

I feel great about Chandler.

I feel great that Chase Hayden got a well deserved bump today.

I feel great hearing Ross may be visiting Knoxville as well.

I feel great the Gaddy Bros chose us.

I feel great that there is no property taxes in the Cayman Islands.

I could go on...

What evidence???

There is evidence Gibbs is going to UT? He doesn't talk much, I've yet to see him say he and Nigel are "like brothers". He did say that about Dixon, his best friend who 247 said he was closer to than Nigel. Nigel doesn't/hasn't had a close relationship with Dale per Nigel so I doubt Deangelo would (just a guess).

Evidence isn't a UPS driver coming by 'delivering the news'. :eek:lol:

The only evidence that would be concerning is he goes to Athens at least once a month so obviously at least a comfort level there for him.

All that said, apart from who his family/friends relations are, I still think he ends up a Vol due to his relationships with the staff. I think they have sold her m on what his role would be in the secondary, use him all over.

Speaking of Gibbs, he dropped again in the rankings.
