'24 GA ATH Kamron Mikell (Colorado commit)

Just can't imagine us losing to Colorado here
If he can't see that being a WR for UT is an infinitely better spot than being a WR for Colorado, then I don't want him anyway. Who is even going to be throwing passes at Colorado once Deion's son leaves? Deion hasn't shown any ability to recruit a top-level QB. Meanwhile, Heupel is starting to stack them like cords of wood.

They did just pick up a 4 star 2025 QB in the past week.

Swwwwinnng and a miss on this take.

I’m not necessarily “giving up” on Mikell, but this exact scenario is what most have been predicting for months about this particular recruit and until this recent update VQ was mostly glowing about our position with him and pointing towards us likely being the choice. VQ is now doing their classic shtick where they plant the seeds of disappointment across a number of updates that ultimately leads to the news you expect.

Perhaps Mikell is smart enough to read through Kirby’s snake oil, but his “dream” scenario is starting to become viable which is UGA allowing him to “play” WR even if we all know where he really ends up.

Weird take bc transfer portal is a real thing and if this dude wants to play WR, he’ll have plenty of options if UGA tries to move him to DB.

It's quite surprising you'd try and find a way to qualify your stupid statement.
The point is to sign players, and you know that. Even Butch Jones can make contact with a 5-star guy and say he recruited him. Signed letters of intent are what matters. Maybe Deion will end up landing that kid, but he has 14 months to go to do it.

No kidding. But you said Deion hasn't shown any signs of being able to recruit a QB, and that is patently false. He's been at Colorado for less than a year. He hasn't had an opportunity to sign a QB.

In the same breath, you also say Heupel is "stacking them like cords of wood" when in reality, he has signed exactly two (Jackson and Nico) and one of those has already transferred. By your definition, Merklinger doesn't count.

As youu mention the point is to sign them, but the point is also to keep them. So as I see it, Heup has one elite QB on his roster, and so does Deion, albeit his son, which doesn't really matter on the field.

He hasn’t finished his first season at CU. He has one signing class, which wasn’t even obtained with a full recruiting season, so it’s basically a half recruiting class. Then when it’s pointed out that he has a top QB committed, you say not good enough because he hasn’t signed. So basically, you’re just setting up impossible parameters so you can criticize him.

The statement he hasn’t “shown he can recruit” a top QB is patently false. @cncchris33 showed that it was false, so you and BOT move the target rather than admitting you’re wrong. Which you are.

Sorry. Posted before I read this. Basically said the same thing. Probably because it’s obvious.

Lol. About a 2025 recruit? Hardly. But keep hanging on Primes jock like he’s done something. He hasn’t. He hasn’t signed a good QB yet. That’s a fact.
Deion Sanders hasn’t shown the ability to complete a season as head coach of a power 5 school. That’s a fact.

That's the difference between you and me. I can talk objectively about him, both good and bad. His son is pretty good, btw. I think he signed him.

I don't like "Prime" and refuse to even refer to him by that stupid name. He's a clown with a whistle as far as I'm concerned. I have my doubts about his ability to succeed. But this was never a discussion about his coaching ability. It was about his ability to recruit QBs. He's done that to the best of his ability thus far.
